Default If you use Scotch Adhesive -read this!

I have been using Scotch Brand Quick-Dyr Tacky Adhesive and I absolutely love it ... it's strong, has a tiny applicator tip so I rarely squeeze out too much, it's economical, and it will hold ribbon in place. Love it!
HOWEVER, I have purchased three bottles of it and they all have clogged up. I end up throwing out half full bottles of adhesive - making it not so economical!
Today I called 3M (800 number on the bottle) and they are sending me a replacement bottle along with a postage paid envelope to return the clogged up bottle to them. The customer service rep explained that if since it is a new product, they want to get back any bottles that clog up so they can fix the problem!
I was pleased to get such a customer-focused result to my call!
Moral to the story ... if you have a clogged bottle, but sure to call them!

That is great customer service! This has become my adhesive of choice and I'm really happy they'll work on fixing this issue. I was just thinking last night that mine is starting to become a little harder to squeeze out, but no real issue so far.

I am on the bandwagon. This is the only adhesive I use unless I am at a workshop where they are using the snail adhesive. I have been using the Quick Dry Adhesive for months now and I finally used up one bottle! I did not have any problem with it clogging up. I store the bottle 'upside-down' as the cap is designed for it to set this way so you do not need to wait for the adhesive to get back to the top when you want to use it. I LOVE THIS PRODUCT!!!

Me too! I love it and got hooked on it when they had a try it for free rebate promotion. It is so quick and easy -- and no more cards popping apart after they sit for a month or two!!

Thanks for the heads up! I'm using this glue right now and love it. So economical and works great. My bottle is about a quarter gone and no problems with the tip, but if it does clog, I know what to do. Great to hear of a company that's so interested in maintaining quality!

Wow, this new product sounds intriguing. Does Michael's or Joann's sell it?

I've had mine clog up before and I usually can pull out the little strip of gunk that gets stuck or just pop off the purple applicator part and clean it out, pop it back on, and it is just fine.

Never try to squeeze it if it doesn't flow out.....hasn't happened to me, but I do know someone who did this and the purple tip came out along with what seemed like half a bottle of the glue all over their project.

I love this stuff too. I haven't had any problems with mine clogging up but it is nice to know that if it does than they are willing to fix it. I got mine at Target.

I forgot to add that I store mine upside down as well and have had great results getting a good even flow.

I do the same thing, and rarely have had the minor clogging problem.

I think it is a little thicker and easier to use than the Mono Multi. I like it MUCH better.

I've been getting mine at Target. Really convienient! I go to the $1 spot then go get my glue!

Michael's has it -- but it seems to fly off the shelves. Target also carries it in the stationary aisle. I haven't found it at my JoAnnes yet ..but it could be because they just redid their entire papercrafts area and it was a mess for ages.

For the record, I store mine upside down also but have still had clogging issues. I'm glad to hear that so many have had good luck. Maybe Rochester NY got a bad batch

I bought a bottle of Mono Multi because everyone was so happy with it. I must say I like this Tacky adhesive better -- I never over-apply with it. The Mono Multi I tend to get too much out at once. I'm sure it's user error.

Same here, Tacky is easier for me to use, I tried the Mono Multi and have user error as well.

I work for 3M and customer service is one of their great attributes. I can guarantee you that there is a team busy somewhere trying to solve the problem. It may take a little while, but it will be fixed. I saw this glue in the company store and didn't know if it was any good. I'll have to go get some tomorrow. Thanks for the tip!

I have been a Mono Multi fan for months now, but have recently started using the Scotch. So far, it seems comparable, and I can get it locally (Target). I still have a bunch of Multi left, so I'll be watching to see how it plays out.

I have the Scotch glue and stopped using because it doesn't flow good and the tip doesn't seem to be stopped up. I mainly use the Mono but always end up with glue on my hands!
