If you could only use one Christmas set

If you could only use one Christmas set this year what would you choose? I'd pick Stampin' Up's Season of Simple Grace.

This year, I would pick SU's Holiday Lineup. I just love this set. It's so Cute.

snowcountry311 10-24-2008 10:45 AM

current set lovely as a tree
retired star santa

Almost all my holiday cards (ever) have had snowflakes on them (usually the retired Snowflakes set or the also retired Snow Flurries set).

This year I plan to use Keep Christmas but will probably also use Frosty (always wanted it and finally got it when it was on the retiring list). Almost all of the cards I make (50-60 most years) are different so I find it hard to use just one set (not surprising since I find it hard to use just one design).

This will be a fun thread to read!

Frosty! Love snowmen of any kind of stamp but he's my all time favorite!

I am only using one . . . and that's the one that I am using as well! I plan emboss with silver on navy cardstock.

Season of Joy (it is the only one I have that is still current!)

hobbydiva 10-24-2008 03:51 PM

I'm thinking either Snow Swirled or A Wish For Peace. I've made a prototype of each (A Wish For Peace is in my gallery) but I think the Wish one would be a lot more time consuming not to mention costly paper wise. I haven't uploaded my Snow Swirled one yet since I'm still trying to figure out how to dress it up or if I wanna change it.

That's my favorite too...I like the new one, but I LOVE the old set.

thescrapmaster 10-24-2008 09:31 PM

I LOVE SU Winter Post set from the current holiday mini

Minders 10-24-2008 09:48 PM

Season of Joy even though I don't have it (it's on it way though, yay!). Out of the ones that I have, probably Peace To the World, love the little lion and lamb....and out of the catty, Snow Swirled...hope to get that one soon!

RJP111 10-25-2008 03:43 AM

Only one!

I would probably use Snow Swirled. I love that tree!

I went Christmas set crazy this year and bought several sets. But I normally just make one design for my 70 or so cards. This year, I used the retired set Peace On Earth. I was just really drawn to the idea of this set. I did a gatefold card that turned out pretty well for a card that can't be too complex as it is mass-produced. I will post a picture in my gallery later today if you want to look.

I love what people have been doing with Holy triptych
am so glad they brought it back

STAMPINGODDESS 10-25-2008 06:30 AM

This year I'm using A Cardinal Christmas (the new Holiday Mini set) I love the cardinals in the winter and living in Ohio , where the cardinal is our state bird, I thought it was especially appropriate to use this year.

LateBlossom 10-25-2008 07:16 AM

Snow swirled. It's so versatile!

denisecarolclark 10-25-2008 07:26 AM

My very first SU set was Frosty and he is STILL my favorite! I just love him!

Karen Stamps! 11-19-2008 08:41 AM

Current: Snow Swirled
Retired: Peaceful Wishes
Non SU: Holly and Berry cube - Sunshine Designs

alanasnana 11-19-2008 09:06 AM

I have two favs, Snowflakes and Flaky Friends, both retired. I just got Christmas Cardinal. I am hoping to find time to play with it this weekend.

babydal57 11-19-2008 09:32 AM

I think I'm doing 3 different designs.

Home for Christmas
Snow Swirled
A Wish for Peace

If I could only do one, I think it would be Snow Swirled. I can mass produce very elegant cards with navy shimmer CS and silver embossing powder fairly quickly. The others require coloring which takes me more time.

shastess 11-19-2008 10:25 AM

Only one?!

Hmmmm Peaceful wishes

or PTI's Believe or Take a Bough?

sprtchick 11-19-2008 11:59 AM

hmmmmm...this would be impossible for me. Since I literally make a few thousand xmas cards I would go nuts...I do love Peaceful wishes and lots of the dollar stamps......and Walmart stamps...etc...
blessings.

YouInkIt 11-19-2008 12:23 PM

Snowflake Spot (my go-to Christmas set) or, for something different, To You and Yours (I just LOVE that set!) :D

LateBlossom 11-19-2008 12:56 PM

If I could only pick one this year, it would be Snow Swirled. But it would KILL me to only use one set for all my cards, LOL!

Benzi 11-19-2008 12:58 PM

Lovely as a Tree. I have seen some very beautiful cards made with that set.
I need to put it on my Christmas list.

MiamiKel4 11-19-2008 01:05 PM

Most of my friends are expecting my annual religious inspired card, but I am going to use ....

Sunny Seasonal Greetings! I live in South Florida after all - it fits!

qvande 11-19-2008 03:15 PM

For SU I would choose Snow Swirled, but my all time favorite right now is Inkadinkado Christmas Silhouettes. I did the reindeer embossed in gold on champagne shimmer cs and the angel with the Merry Christmas Sentiment embossed in silver on navy.

Kittypaws 11-19-2008 04:09 PM

My favorites are Lovely as a Tree and Peaceful Wishes. However, having used both in the past, this year I am using City of David.

mrs_hawkins 11-19-2008 04:31 PM

I'm using Crab & Company since I'm moving to FL next week. For my scrapbook class, though, we are using Season of Joy.
