Filigree, huh... itz retired right? So my vote goes to Paisley... oops I did it again ;)
From the current catty I'll go with Frech Script.

From the above answers, I'm see that Canvas & Print Pattern seems to constant fixture...

Cavas, Fine Lace and French Script. Linnen could easily replace Cavas, and Floral could easily replace Fine Lace.

My 3 favs right now (of the ones I have;-) ) are Canvas, French Script and Crosshatch. Although Print Pattern is running pretty close behind I bought Word by Word shortly after the new catty came out and I have yet to use it!?!:???: Have fun picking!

French Script, Canvas/Linen, Print Pattern or Fine Lace (depending on what your stamping style is mostly).

Is that all we can pick is 3??? I like Canvas, Crosshatch, and Print Pattern as the most versatile. There are so many other nice to haves.....my collection of BGs is steadily growing thanks to all the wonderful artwork I've seen here on SCS!!

Sorry, but I can't narrow it down to 3, must mention 4. Canvas, Print Pattern, Weathered, and Soft Swirls.

as usual I have to go with the crowd, canvas (or linen, haven't seen that one yet), print pattern and french script. I have the old script background but don't find I can use it as much, with the french I think it looks nice and you can't tell what it says unless you speak French! LOL!!

So canvas, print pattern and french script

So, don't be surprised to hear my answer, ok? hee hee

Print Pattern (Use it on EVERYTHING!! LOL)
Canvas (Looks great alone or layered with other BG's, especially Print Pattern)
Floral or French Script
(I'm getting the Crosshatch too, looks VERY versatile)

Have Fun!!!
