Default If I have Riveting, do I really need.....

Circle of Friendship? I keep going back and forth about this. They are so similar, and yet there are a few different sentiments in the Circle of Friendship. Should I get Happy Everything instead? (Of course I have All About U!) HELP MEEEEEE!!!!

Go with the Happy Everything, that is a super cute set, and I think you will use it way more.

I like interchanging the centers. The one with the birthday present in the center can be an everyday one if you stamp the one with the flower in the center and stick that flower on the everyday one! I like 'em all, but the hostess set will probably be enough for me. Did you know this set works fabulously with the new Designer Label Punch. Fits perfectly!!!

Yes! I'm getting that. It's my birthday tomorrow and I have asked everyone for stampin money. I'm preparing a big order so I can get another Level 1 Hostess set. I'm so excited. I am getting mostly supplies, (Hardware, Buttons, Punches,) but I do want a couple of stamp sets (DON"T NEED ANYMORE!), but keep changing my mind. I appreciate everyon's input.
Thanks.

I got Circle of Friendship instead of Riveting. I liked that CoF had more variety, and I liked one of the other Level 1 sets better. (Of course, that was just my first order, so I might just have to get Riveting too!)

I have both Riveting and Circle of Friendship. I use CoF on the back of envies as shown in the catty. Riveting I've used as part of card fronts and on layouts.

I have both - but I think I prefer Circle of Friendship because it's a finer image.

The word "need" has so many meanings?? LOL If you have limited funds, I'd get Happy Everything. It is definitely on "my list."

Get Happy Everything first and then CoF later if you still "need" it! Happy Everything looks so versatile - mine should be arriving soon.

I'm going to play the part of the enabler and say that you should get all three! I do have all three, and I'm loving them all. I think, though, that Happy everything is my favorite out of all of them.

Did you see that in the Holiday Mini there is a set with another rivet piece?

Must be one of the big new trends then - I bet Riveting would look great using that technique where you emboss lots of layers of metallic and then stamp into it. What IS that technique called?

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you for this thread---I have been debating the same question. Think I will do Happy Everything first, but my big question was which size circle punch to use for CoF and Riveting...I don't want much of a border around the image.

The 1 1/4 circle still leaves a border. If you wanted to punch the circle perfectly, you'd probably need a 1 inch circle punch.

On the linked sample, I used the 1 1/4 punch to punch the main image, and then layered on orange with the 1 3/8 punch. The card is simple, but at least you can see how big the white border is.

My 1" circle punch (not SU) fits Circle of Friendship perfectly - not sure if Riveting is the same size as I haven't used it yet! Looks slightly larger in the catty so perhaps 1 and a quarter?

Riveting uses the 1 and 1/4 punch.

The 1" works fine too. It just gives you a nice close border.

Old SCS proverb says that this means you'll have good stamping luck all year and NEVER drop your Basic Black ink pad upside down onto your newly-finished card!

I had to have both because I LOVE riveting and got it on my first new catty order. then I wondered the same thing, but realized the necessity of CoFriendship because I use the Stamp/Tap, Tap, Tap one on the back of ALL my envelopes now - using ht ecircle punch to punch out a notch! That way all my recipients know a handstamped work of art is inside! Love it if only for that reason, but I can see using so many of the other stamps as well!

You "Tapped" the nail right on the head. It's that Stamp/Tap, Tap, Tap stamp that got me going in the first place! Curse you Stampin Up !
