The other night I was setting eyelets on some cards in our living room. DH was watching tv and all I have is a hole punch and setter that you use with a hammer.
DH remarked how loud I was, so I told him I'd take one for the team and get a crop a dile so I could craft silently.
Just be careful... when I got my Crop-a-Dile my hubby was eyeballing it thinking of ways he could use it!
Don't worry, I'll put it in an opaque container. He'll never know. Hey, it works for food........... "honey, I thought we had *whatever*." "Yes, it's in the red container." "Oh. I didn't see it."
I also stamp right in the living room and my DH always complained about the eyelet setting also!
Then when the CAD came out HE went and ordered me the Green one I wanted from the LSS!
Just be careful... when I got my Crop-a-Dile my hubby was eyeballing it thinking of ways he could use it!
My DH has discovered that my tools are not just for paper crafting, too! He's given me the go-ahead to get anything I need. Too bad I'm the one that knows there's no money!!
But how many husbands know how to make their own sandwiches--for the Big Shot, that is!!
Lucky you, Jen!

My DH purchased my Crop a Dile several years ago because at that time, I mostly made cards after he went to bed and he could hear that hammer upstairs and it prevented him from sleeping well. So one day on vacation in Va. we went into a paper-crafting store and I showed him this nifty tool but said it is "just too expensive: so he went and purchased it himself and gave it to me... I would have probably bought it myself but DH had told me I could only spend X amount of dollars at the store and I didn't want to spend nearly 1/4 of that amount just on that tool so I would have waited a while...but DH is great and decided to buy and give it to me so he could sleep better at night.
Never realized how loud the old hammer and punch was until one night my husband shot out of bed thinking it sounded an awfully lot like a gun in the middle of the night!
We had just gotten married and honestly, I was used to being alone while crafting in the middle of the night. I felt so bad about it!
Funny, he doesn't seem to hear my cricut cutting at night in the very next room!
