Default Twinkling H2O techniques??

Does it work better on glossy paper? Any tricks I should know? I just did it on plain USW CS and it didn't "twinkle". TIA.

Looks great on glossy paper, but regular US white will work as well...and I almost always balck emboss my stamped image, then color in with my twinklers.

I was shown to color with the TWH2O's directly on the rubber, then stamping on any old paper. Paula has a good technique at her website:
http://www.oldtowncrafts.com/techniques.html. Her Creative Rubber convention last week was awesome. Did any of you guys go? Kathy

I've tried to do TWH2O's direct to rubber but my images don't come out as clear as I'd like.

Any tips? Maybe I'd doing something wrong...
I'll go read the tips from the link you (kathynruss) added.
Maybe I'll learn a thing or two!!

Default Twinkling H20's

When yoou do direct to rubber spritz your pots with a little water first. Let them sit a few. Using a sponge tip brush , brush the color on to your stamp. If doing more than one color turn the stamp rubber side down an LIGHTLY spritz and stamp.

The owner of my local stamp store told me that you shouldn't get the H2O's too wet. If you see "bubbles" or "puddles" in the pot, it is too wet. She said it should feel "sticky" on the brush, or whatever applicator you choose to use. She also said to let the H2O color dry on the stamp before applying your next color. When the image is completely colored, spritz it with water.

I haven't actually tried it yet, but it sounds to me like this method would work on the direct to rubber.

Hope this helps!

Default re. twinkling H2o's

You can make your own twinkling H20's with SU re-inkers and iridescent medium. Just mix a couple of drops of the re-inker and about a tablespoon or so of the iridescent medium in a small container, let air dry (it may take a few days), put lid on, and voila all 48 colors.

You can get the iridescent medium at craft store where the paints are. I use the small clear plastic containers with lids to mix and store in.

Enjoy,
