I think I have convinced myself to sign up as a demo - the package is just too good to pass up. Even my DH agrees! We both know I probably will never hold a class - just a way to save a little $$ since I seem to be buying it all lately
Once I sign up, does anyone have any idea how long it takes to get processed and get your stuff? Will I be able to place an order in time to get a few "sale A Bration" items or will I miss out since its already 2/9
Any idea how long I have to place my first order? Does my quarter still end in March so I would need to place a $300 order in March or ....
Any suggestions on the Alpha set I should select? I was thinking of getting Best Friends Upper for my "Add On" and then getting Defining Alpha as my "up to $47 freebie" as I am trying to find the most expensive item I can find for free. Which Alpha do you find most useful?
My mom is looking at becoming a demo and I think she said that if you sign up during sale a bration the kit is 20% off?!?! You cannot quote me for sure on that but check with your upline and ask! B/c if that is right that is an awesome deal!

Thanks in advance for your thoughts!
You are right, this is the best time to jump in! What a great deal!
As for your questions, yes you will have plenty of time after you get your kit to still place orders and get SAB things. Don't forget that on your very first order you get the extra 10% off so that's a 30% discount on the order as long as you place it within 45 days of becoming a demo. You really want to make that order a good one. You should have your demo # within a few days of sending in your paperwork and you usually have your kit within a few weeks. SAB doesn't end until March 17.
Your first quarter will end in June, not March, so you have lots of time to make that first $300.
As for Alphas, I don't use them much because I am mostly a cardmaker not a scrapper. I am sure that others here will help with that advice. Good Luck!

Rather than look for the most expensive item you can get for free, considering getting the most expensive item THAT YOU WILL USE for free. If you don't regularly use alphas, that may not be the best choice.
Remember that any new set in this catalog is guaranteed to be available in the next catalog but that any other set can retire at the end of this one.
Good luck with your decision.
(Hi, Christine!!! Is your mom thinking of signing up?)
Sale-A-Bration is indeed an excellent time to join SU. The kit is 20% AND you get to choose an additional stamp set of your choice, up to a $47.50 value.
If you sign up online, through your upline's website, you will receive your demo number in a day or so and your kit should arrive in 7-10 days. This certainly gives you plenty of time to place your own SAB order and/or to schedule a few workshops during this great promotional time. Also, your first workshop (or your own order totalling $150 or more) earns a 30% instant income vs the usual 20%- thus again, if you join now, personally I would suggest that you go ahead and schedule a "Grand Opening" workshop at your house, inviting absoluteluy everyone you know- this should result in great sales (yielding you 30% income) and is an excellent opportunity to get those first few workshops booked and on your calendar.
Your first quarter will not end until June 30, meaning that you have until then to meet your first quarterly minium of $300.
I have been a demonstrator for coming on 8 years and have never regretted my decision-I onky wish that when I joined they had such a great promotion!!
I signed up last Friday, online.
Got my password and demo number later that day! Wonderful SU! website info!
Got my starter kit Thursday! So much wonderful stuff! Including great DVD info and fun new sets!
Got access to the demo side of SCS yesterday! Another great addition to my life!
I also fretted over what Free Set to get, whether to go for an expensive one or a less expensive one I've loved for a long time. Then my eye fell on Lovely Letters alphabet. It goes with the baroque and boho stamps I love so much, and I'm going to use it for monogram cards!
I say Go For It! I've had nothing but fun in the week I've been a demo! SU provides lots of high-quality support, assistance, and encouragement, but no pressure!
I really appreciate the encouragement and feedback.
Still struggling with what Alpha to get with the Add On Set - Will probably go with the standard - and may get the Lovely Alpha Set for making monogrammed gifts.
Congrats on your decision. Picking stamp sets is something I can worry about for days. LOL! When the momement comes I'm sure you'll pick the best ones for you.
I signed up yesterday and got my ID # right there online as I finished filling out the form. You can order as soon as you get your number. Remember you get 30% off your first order.

Is that 300 retail or wholesale order? Just wondering as I saw this great deal & am toying w/joining too just for my own benefit.
I signed up online last week and placed my first order yesterday. Don't ask how many SAB items I earned! ;) The website lets you save your order and go back to it later, so that's what I kept doing.
I already had a catalog and an SAB mini catalog from being a customer, so I shared those with everyone I could think of and basically had a catalog party since my demo kit doesn't arrive until tomorrow. I even got someone to order the entire set of markers when I explained what I read on here about adding $30+ to their order and getting 3 SAB sets free!
This is a great time to sell! I can't wait until my kit comes in and I can start demoing, too!
Ok I've been toying with this idea for some time now. I agree it is the perfect time to join. What a great discount. My ordeal is I live in a town that has only 3,000 people. Small town.. There is already a Demo here. She's great. She's a friend of mine. I wouldn't want to step on her toes. However last year when I asked her about becoming a demo she gave me the paper work. I guess I'm not sure how I could sell products. Maybe online? Maybe retired sets on ebay. LOL I basically would want to be a demo for the discount and the extra ideas and such. What do you guys think? Is it rude ? My demo does an open house once a year. I was thinking what if I had scrapn nights. I could host scrap camps? Is there where people come use your stuff for a fee? Anyways I want to be a demo so so so bad. But I don't want to mess up. Any Ideas?
