I need a tutorial on how to put the pad back in after it goes flying across the table

I have a few that do that way too often. And it takes me forever to figure out how to put it back together. LOL

I am asuming that your pad is SU! so here is what you do:

Insert the lower left knob of the lid(the part w/ink pad) into the horizontal slot above the half circle slot on the left side of the base.(there is a little indent on the base where you want your bump on the lid to line up with)

Next insert the lower right knob of the lid into the middle of the horizontal slot on the right side of the base.

Then pull tworads the bottom of the pad and it should snap right into place!

Thanks, I got it. Woo hoo

Kurtis, you rock! I have had a time figuring out how to get my pad back together again, and you made it so easy! Thanks!

I wish I had had this tutorial this afternoon. My Real Red decided to fly the coup. I had red ink EVERYWHERE by the time I finally, by accident, got it back in one piece. Yuck!!!

I had to laugh when I read this because I can sure relate to it. My real red does that also. It takes me forever to get them back together. I will have to print out this tutorial that Kurtis was nice enough to post for us. Thanks. Kurtis.

As frustrating as it is I always laugh after it happens. And my red does that all the time too! But I have also had other colors go flying. Fun times!

wannabcre8tive 09-02-2006 07:21 PM

I have a friends who's red does the same thing. I guess they are possessed. :)

emmiestamps 09-02-2006 10:24 PM

My red ink does that as well.

olivia'smom 09-06-2006 06:47 PM

Don't ya just hate when that happens?

Kerilou 09-07-2006 07:48 AM

My basic black did that right after I had re inked it...needless to say it has never looked the same...I wondered if my hands ever would, either..I just say I did it on purpose so I can tell mine apart from others...LOL

I had to laugh when I saw the title of this thread. I thought this only happened to me. And, as murphy's law goes, it almost always happens to my BLACK ink pad that this happens to.

I've done it too - but have learned to keep my INDEX FINGER in the FRONT of the stamp pad when opening it to block this potential accident. That's the only way I will open a SU stamp pad after I 'broke it' once. Once was all I needed to learn a bit of a dif. technique. lol

Oh my goodness I have this happen to me a lot! I guess this happens quite a bit, since some one took the time to make a tutorial!

Beate thanks for sharing the link ~ :p
