I need simple cards ideas - please share
I need some simple cards that I can make in basically seconds that can be made in bulk. I want to make a bunch & send them in the care packages at work for the soldiers in the war. I want them very simple so I can make a bunch in packs of 5-10 & make a lot of packs. Please share links of simple, quick, no layer cards you like.
Here is an example of what I am looking for from a card I saw in a card store.

I would share some of my own cards but I have such a hard time making "simple" cards...Hope these help...I found them by doing a search on the following keywords, "No Layer Cards" and "Simple Cards".

Here's three easy cards that I made for the boys at the Keiki kids charity. You could use the same layout and just substitute flowers instead of leaves.

Here is a card I have done many times. http:////www.splitcoaststampers.com/...0&ppuser=27618
You can use a different saying or flower. I just made about 20 of them for teacher gifts.

Simple Cards
I think only one of mine is a single layer...but all of these would be pretty simple to do multiples of.
This one is pretty simple, simpler than it looks.
http:////www.splitcoaststampers.com/...0&ppuser=22306
Or this one (you could just do the sponged heart part and use "thank you" sentiment instead of the valentine)
http:////www.splitcoaststampers.com/...0&ppuser=22306
If you have "All About U" this would be pretty simple...I didn't have the set so used the computer to make the U and then had to cut it out so it was more time consuming. You could also use this design if you have a die cut machine with a larger alphabet.

I LOVED this sketch (used it alot). This would be a good military card.

Or what about something like this where you print your own background on the computer and then just do a quick stamp on the sentiment (probably a "thank you" or "get well" depending on where you are sending). This one has a math background that I typed up...but you can go to m-w.com (merriam webster) and look up any definition and then just copy paste it till you fill a whole page. You'd get 4 cards out of each sheet. You could choose something like "honor" or "courage" or something like that.

Hope those help you! I send out cards to the WWII veterans - I bought a set from TAC just for that purpose. I also like the one from CTMH but I'm not willing to pay that price.

If you'll go to the gallery home page, and click on the search button, do a search using keyword "OLC" and this will pull up at least 148 designs that are all One Layer Cards.
A number of SCS Members that upload their OLC designs have used this keyword in the title or description to enable others to find them easily.
It's truly amazing what you can find when we all use keywords to categorize things, and then subsequently search for things using that system! It's hands-down my preferred method to visit the galleries here on SCS!

Thank you JulieHRR, I didn't know about this. I have searched for words, but never abbreviations.

Julie, thanks for the info! I will have to start including that on some of my cards. Great to know we can search for this type of card.

Cards like the two below take literally 30 seconds to make. Lay on some blocks of color, stamp an image in black, add the sentiment.

I just wanted to comment that I really enjoyed this thread a lot. Thanks for all of you who contributed. I just added a bunch to my favorites ------- I love this style of card. When I have more time I will check out all of the OLC's in the gallery. Thanks again for all of the tips.
