Default I need a "meanie" card!

Ok all you creative gals...I need a MEANIE card.

My boss was a meanie to me today and I told him I was going to make him a MEANIE card...so now I need to come up with one!

Any ideas?

Luckily he has a good sense of humor. If all else fails I was thinking I could do the definition background and maybe a large UR or something. Thought I'd throw it out there for suggestions.

Maybe a big bear on the outside stamp but a teddy bear on the inside?

I think a "meanie" card would be so cute!

Something along the lines of "You're so lucky to have me to kick around."

Maybe a soccer ball with that.

Hope you get some inspiration to get one going!

Do you have the color spritzer tool? I think it would be funny to put a big red tounge in the middle of a page and use the color spritzer for raspberry spit. Then a snarky comment.
Or if you have the Happy Camper set I have used the smoke comming out the bears butt like fart fumes and wrote 'and that's what I think of that' with rough edges along the side.
Good luck sounds like a fun project.

The "U Suck" card is always popular around here! Lately I've been thinking that the foam from the Like it a Latte set looks likes a pile of sh*t and have thought about doing a "you're full of sh*t card" or something like that. My boss is FINALLY retiring and I've been really thinking about the type of card I'd like to make her for her retirement!

I love her stuff, and her office line is quite fun--perhaps some inspiration will strike you? I want *everything* in her entire line, tho cuz it jusst CRACKS me . . .

Keep the ideas coming ladies! I could always do a "U stink" card instead (I have an outhouse stamp and a skunk stamp). But since I said a meanie card...I wanted to stay with meanie.

Julie - I love that line. These would make great little gifts at Christmas time for officemates.

You guys all make such pretty mean cards!
Thanks for the ideas, there's a guy at work who loves to give everyone a hard time and he would get a kick out of one of these.

My niece HATES making cards (I know...how can that be) and a friend of hers (male) was bugging her to make a card when she came to visit me.

I don't have a picture of it, so put on your imagination brains and picture this: Neon pink card folded (crooked), ugly green cs partially crimped (crooked) and glued on the front (crooked), smudged stamp on the front (can't even remember what it was, but it was crooked) with the partial phrase from the Basket Full of Fun set that says "sometimes good things happen to people". We masked off the rest of the saying and when he opened it up, she wrote on the inside (upside down) "but not to you".

He got the card and got the hint. We did have fun making it (and it only took about 5 minutes!)

That's hilarious! I don't think I could make a card like this even if I tried. I'm too much of a perfectionist! Maybe if I did it with my left hand only...or with my eyes shut.

The Anne Taintor stuff is PERFECT. I love it. Especially the overqualified one! I'm going to place an order later today. Once again "Julie" is spelled "enabler".

You could use crabby from Crab & Co and do something like - "Some days you're crabby" - then have the crab "And some days you're a real bear" and then have a bear like from Pines or Favorite Teddy Bear and then "Some days you're even a real stinker" have a picture of the skunk stamp from Stinkin' Cute and then say something sweet on the inside. I think you should make it a funny card since it's such a funny idea! THEN he'll remember to not be such a meanie next time.

Thanks for all the comments guys! My boss (and co-workers) loved it. He laughed when he opened the card and said he didn't even need to look inside to figure out who left it for him. Inside I'd written the definition of "meanie" and he came over and said, "you know they left part of the definition off". So I asked what they left off and he said "and that we enjoy it" (being mean). He has it sitting out on his desk.

I know everyone has long forgotten about this thread, but I just thought of a cute "meanie card" idea I wanted to share.

I'm a prop and costume mistress at a theater and had to make a pair of T-shirts to be worn side-by-side onstage for a sketch that had one guy saying how he really loves the other, they're best friends and he wanted to give him a gift to show his friendship (it was the t-shirts). These were supposed to be like those necklaces that you break in half, you know, "Best...Friends".

The shirts said

Friend.........Ship
You and.......Me
Even when...Far away

The gift giver walked off stage pleased with himself, leaving his friend standing there in a shirt that said "Ship me far away"

I just realized you can make a card like that!

Fold your cardstock so that the two ends meet in the middle and the largest section is the back of the card...does that make sense? Fold it like double doors on the front.

Put your perforation blade in your trusty rotary cutter and perforate the RIGHT SIDE and punch a hole for a tassle. You just made a break-away bookmark.

Write the above sentiment or some other clever phrase that can be divided. Ta-da! Instand insult!

Just came across this thread today. The card I made this week would be perfect.
It kind of says it all without a sentiment or if you thought it needed help you could add a sentiment of "P on U".
