is it worth it? should I get it? None of the photos of it are very close to see what it actually offers in the way of help! any feedback is appreciated! thanks!
I have one and honestly, I wish I had looked at it a little more closely before I purchased it. It is helpful, but does not offer as many color combinations as the computer program circulated here does. I won't say it's a total waste, but if you could get one for 1/2 price, I'd say it's more worth it than full price.
However, I do find it very inspiring and probably the more I play with it, the more combinations I'll discover by proximity, at least.
I LOVE the Color Coach!! I couldn't live without. My customers love it too!! I use it every month for color ideas. It's also so portable and easy to take with you when you are stamping at friend's homes.

I love the colour wheel too. I use it all the time for colour combination ideas. I only wish I had bought it sooner. That's just my opinion. I get a lot of colour combination ideas on here too.
I buy stampin up by the multiple color packs and use the color wheel, it's the best color wheel I have found and don't have to stand in the store and match
colors since I am not a demo for stampinup. However, if you have the time to check the SCS gallery for color combinations, which I also print off for my favorites, you may want to do that or just check the color combo chart
in the past previous postings. I thinks it's a matter of how much time you have, how well you combine colors, how much color stock of stampin up you have. I also have my stampin up card stock alphabitized by title of colored
stock to easily combine combos I see on this site. Now I've probably confused you, but there's a number of things to consider. Carolyn
I have one and I like it. I've seen that website and tried it but I must say that I prefer to be able to look at something quickly rather than having to go on the net (even though I have high speed). Lots of different combos to try!
cool - thanks for all the feedback...I too like Lauras site and have high speed but my computer is nowhere near my stamp area, hence the need for something I can grab right away...I just don't like having to purchase something I can't get a good look at first! can anyone post a close up pic of it? is that "legal"?!
I really hate to spend the $10 too, so until I get all the other stuff I want, I'm planning to make use of the new catty; there's a lot of great combos in there this year as well as a ton of layouts that I love!

At first, I thought it was a ridiculous idea. Then I started spending a lot of time trying to decide on colors when I could have been stamping. So, I bought the color wheel. I used it a good bit, for a while. However, I kept finding that I had a specific color in mind, but the ones on the wheel weren't what I was after. Now I usually get my color inspiration from the color challenges on here. My computer is nowhere near my computer, so I jot down the challenge colors and run it up to my stamp area. I also printed out a list of color combos from here somewhere. (I've started a binder with all of the things I've printed out from here.)
So, I am back to almost never using my color wheel.
I never use mine either, much preferring to go to the online site to get a variety of matches the wheel doesn't show. Might be good to take shopping when shopping for ribbon however

Everywhere I stamp, my Color Coach follows!!! I am a bit lost without it, as I don't feel that I am a very 'artsy' person to come up with color options on my own. I have been stamping for 8 years and still use that color coach. Yes, I do some stamping on my own without it, but when I am stuck, I always come back to it. Some days, it's my best friend...LOL
I also use mine more than I thought I would. I like to come up with my own color combos but sometimes colors just don't seem to come together like you want...check the color coach!!

Sometimes the colors on ther Color Caoch are not what you think would look great, but then when you make a card it is like "AAHHH" they do look awesme, I think it is worth the $10.00 investment!!
I bought the old color coach and wasn't impressed, but then they redesigned it and I LOVE it! Especially the dynamic duos! I'm reaching for it all the time, it seems.
its on my list but always gets moved down in favor of something in the mini or have to have but I will eventually get it. I have seen some great color choices come out of it.
I just love mine for combining colors I wouldn't thought of. My favorite has been tempting turquoise, taken with teal, apricot appeal, and certainly celery. I never would have combined these, but they look fantastic together.
I find that sometimes if I don't like the color suggested when using the main color, I can spin the wheel to see what other combinations the color is used as an accent or complimentary color. It really expands the choices.
I use mine all the time. For each workshop I do, I plan one project using a color combo suggested by the color coach. It's really good for planning a combo with colors you may not use a lot (orchid for me!).

I love my color coach also. I use it when stamping and when I make my jewelry.Speaking of I wish there was A site like this for Jewelry designers.Anyway I couldn't go without my color coach.
I totally love my wheel - I always take it with me when I go stamping with friends and we all fight over it. makes it nice when yo uwant to use u pyour scraps, but don't know what colors will go. I ahve used more scrap pieces because of it!
I'll add my two cents too. I thought it was a waste of my money when I first bought it but then I started to use it and I sing its praises all the time!! I'm not very good at combining colors (sort of stay with the same old ones) and this one does the job for me with complimentary and contrasting color choices. The program circulating on this site does give more combinations, but I'm not on my computer when I stamp. this I can grab and look for my colors. I can't give you a picture because I haven't done any of that yet, but its a wheel, you spin the dial to the color you want to use, there is a window that shows colors that compliment and color that is contrasting to it (I think that's how it goes). You use both sides of the wheel since all colors won't fit on the one side (like two color sets are on one side and the other two are on the other). the only thing I don't like about it is if you aren't familiar with what group that particular color is in, you kind of have to think and search for it with your pads, but I'm getting better at it. But my cards and things look so much better when I use it because the colors go so much better. good luck in deciding. Mary
I wasn't sure I needed, but got it because I'm a demo and figured I should have it to sell it.
Well, I use it all the time - my 10yo dd uses it all the time for her cards too. Sometimes, I just wheel it around, looking in the window for combos that look different - and it's good for helping my stretch my box with colours I don't use (blush blossom, anyone?).
Once it "disappeared" under a pile of "stuff" for a week - and I found out how much I really use it - even for little things like the dynamic duos - I know that they are on the wheel, so I don't worry about trying to remember good combos. There was major celebrating in my stamp room when I found it! ;)
I love mine because it helps me to use colors that I probably would not normally use. It is also the ONE SU item that I have bought that my husband and 16 y.o. son thought was neat. My husband is a building contractor and helps pick paint and coordinate a lot of colors - sometimes furnishings.
