Default I just don't have the patience!!!

Today designed a trading card for a get together I am going to. I use the flower motif from Swirly Gigs (which just might be my new favorite stamp set)- but it's a doodle type design and it requires coloring. Now, I'm just coloring with markers, but to color enough for 20 trading cards- well I decided to do 2 one-sheet wonder type things, since it's the background.

I'm going insane! I have a hard time staying in the lines, and keep getting bored and checking SCS.

My card isn't going to be incredible, but if I'm able to make them- that will be incredible.

I don't have the patience for this craft!

I feel that way some days. When I do, I go for the solid images or stamp my line images on patterned paper. I feel coloring impaired a LOT.... LOL!

is it possible to paper piece the image?

this is one of my favorite things of late... plus it adds a little dimension!

Default Done with step 1

Well, I FINALLY finished coloring the two background pages- time to cut them up into trading cards and make the rest of the card (still not sure what I am doing there)

It's so pretty it was worth it!

That set is soooo NEAT! I have had my eye on it for awhile now. You did an Awesome job. Now to answer your question, Yes I would have the patience to color this in, but I don't have the room. I set up "stuff" to make a "trudee" card last night. and guess what happens, My 9yr old dd and 7 yr old ds decide they will stamp with my. All thier stamping stuff is still over the table( hubby is away on a trip right now, that is why we can have a "mess"). I have about 1/4 of the table. They have yet to finish stamping this morning. They are watching a movie. But I know if I go stamp right now, that movie will be paused and they will be right in there with me!! My problem is no ROOM!! LOL

You did a lovely job coloring!! Maybe a tip for the future would be to stamp on a paper with a color washed look to it...sort of like a watercolored background. If you choose the right colors it would be a neat result.

20 of anything is ALOT!! And I didn't realize how close and how many you had until I saw the photo. It looks great! Pace yourself and do it while you watch TV, etc...

Good luck! The recipients will be happy for sure!

You know, I don't normally do "fads"- I prefer stamps that will still be "in" in a few years, but I love the "doodle" look. And for only $10.95 (minus discount) THIS is the doodle set to get. It is AWESOME!

Well I need 20 trading cards- so I only have to do 2 background pages (though I actually think I need 25- so I'll have to do 3 background pages).

I think doing it as a sheet is actually better- as I don't have to position each one perfectly on the 2.25 x 3.25 piece of paper. Instead I can just see how they fall

It is a CANNOT miss set! Check my gallery for another card I made with it (I actually made 10 like the card I have in the gallery- super easy, and only one layer so saves paper!)

Well shoot. Guess I better get it with my June order. I've totally given up on the "I have enough sets" idea. It's just no use.

Yes, it's rubber but it is unmounted. I use acrylic blocks with all my unmounted, but I know some folks have permanently mounted theirs on wood. If you want to do that, you might want to search the threads for folks who have gone unmounted and are looking for a home for their blocks!

Someone stalks MY gallery? NO WAY! That made my night!

TAC stamps are rubber- but they are not mounted. They do, however, come with the cling foam necessary to afix them to acrylic blocks- so there isn't anything extra to buy (well except the block- but an inkpad lid works just as well if you'd like). BUT it's not already stuck to the rubber, so if you instead wanted to buy double sided sticky foam and wood blocks (not from TAC, unfortunately, CHF has some)to make it a mounted set, the option is, I guess, still there. If you don't have an Angel already- feel free to PM me with any more questions or check out the demo locator at www.theangelcompany.net.

I love your coloring!! your sheets look like printed paper. I don't always color this one in because *I* don't have the patience for this one!!! I've done some with Souffle pens with this and it was a little sloppy because they kind of ran. I often just stamp this one on colored CS and let it go at that! I want to see the final product!!!

Are you on TAC Art Scans? I posted the final card there- but I can post it here until August, because it is an ATC for a get together- and well, I'm way ahead of getting it done, so I'm going to wait to post it in my gallery.

Thanks so much! If you can see it close up, there are a few outside the lines.

I remember the first time I saw this in person, I was SHOCKED to hear she colored it herself. I thought it was printed paper. I had never seen such incredible stamping!

That other coloring is really pretty too! I've come a loooong way since I started. LOL Nope, not on TAC Art Scans. Can't add one more thing to my plate as I'm in other TAC monthly swaps, etc. I'll wait and look for it here.

Happy Stampin'!

Wow! That really is a very cute set.
I like to look at trends in commercial graphics and noticed there are lots of solid white images of flowers and doodles over a bright colored background. This set would be perfect for that.
Why not experiment with sponging or brayering a sheet of glossy cardstock with your favorite colors and then simply over stamping in white with this set? It would a fast and pretty background paper that would work with artist trading cards.
If you want to see a variety of atc - the gallery has a special section for them. And I trade and teach atc classes, so my gallery has quite a few. (Ninatar)

What a pretty, pretty set! Now you see, I looove to color and would think that this is great fun and make sheets and sheets of it and then never use it because, well, I couldn't cut anything that beautiful up!

What you've done looks wonderful!

I did a swap for ATC's, only once. I love to make cards, but making that many tiny things just made me crazed.
