I have a new challenge, if I could be so bold...collage
Lately we have all been admiring the wonderful work of PrincessInk. And since imitation is the greatest form of flattery I would like to pose a challenge. Try to create a card, or several cards using the style of collage. Now for people like myself, who are new to stamping and have a really limited amount of supplies and stamps this will be a really huge challenge. For the ladies who have years of experience like PrincessInk and others, I would love to see what they come up with. I'm really excited to see what creations people will come up with. It will be so wonderful!

I'd be happy to give it a shot. I've never been real comfortable making collages, but it's beautiful to look at. Count me in (in the amateur division).

I have been loving the challenges, it has really given me the opportunity to learn new techniques and stretch myself. My first try at collage was a couple of days ago and I'm having so much fun with it! So I think I'll have to play around with it some more. Thanks for helping us grow!
I have always loved the look of collage, but have been overwhelmed when I tried to do it. I think I will have to give this challenge a try. Is there a category for sub-amatures?
WOW!
Mary, that is a beautiful card! I still can't find the inspiration to make such great cards. My cards are still very two dimensional.
GREAT job!
I love your card! Now I want the quickcutz die system, just so I can do the photo turns (fastners!); I've been looking for a die to make those little thingys! TFS

You can use the Quickutz dies in Sizzix if you have that system. I'm pretty sure they will work in the new Sizzix Sidekick too. You just need a different shim.
I love these challenges!!!! I have never made a collage card before, but I think I found something that I can really get into!!! This was so much fun to make, I didn't want to stop when the whole family was here for a birthday celebration. I did, though, and finished the card when they left. Here it is:
Sonya your cards are soooooooooo beautiful! Wow. And Valerie, Fantastic!!!!! Wow it is so much fun to look at all the different takes on collage. They all turned out so great!

I love how different everyone's results are! This is so much fun! All of you ladies are so amazing, such talent. It's nice to have a place like this to find inspiration.
I was so excited to try that I rushed through my card. I was so dissapointed once I saw it online, but I will try again. Thanks for creating this challenge. I've been wanting to try this but had managed to aviod it till now.
I love this thread. I have always loved collage, but I find it so hard to do. I have loved looking at all of your samples & admiring them. I always think you have to have a collage-y kind of stamp set to make it work, but all of you have made it work with all kinds of stamps!
I'm having so much fun, I had to make another one. This one I made as the front of my idea notebook. It is all things that I enjoy - gardening, butterflies, my faith, purple, etc. Most of it is scrap paper.
Another addition to this challenge, the result of my trip to the post office this morning. They had the a love stamp on display, and it got my mind a reeling! I only wish I had the 2 sets I ordered yesterday - Office Ephemera and Travels Abroad, they would have had some cool images to incorporate into this!
