I got some samples of new in-colors....
I got my hands on a full sheet of each new in-color. They certainly do look different in person. I am not sure about that Kiwi....it is an odd color, but perhaps when paired with the right colors?
One thing I know I will be ordering is the light blue. What a lovely blue! Why doesn't SU! have something like this (or Soft Sky) in their regular line-up?
It seems to help when you compare the colors next to regular SU! cardstock, because when I looked at Red Riding Hood (is that the name?) alone, I could not see a new red at all. When I put it against Real Red, I could then see the difference.
Still on the fence over these, except for that blue. I know, once I see the catty, with all the sample cards, I will be swayed.

I've heard nice things about the pink. Also, when you hold up the new blue with soft sky, how do they look together? Enquiring minds want to know! (please)

I discovered today that the olive twill ribbon is a perfect match for the new Kiwi Kiss! You can see it here on my card:

Both blues look gorgeous when paired with Soft Sky. The lighter blue is definitely darker than Soft Sky. When you look at it alone, you would not think so, but side by side....big difference.
The pink is very light, but compared to Blush Blossom, it is darker. I am not a huge pink fan, so I think I could get away with using Blush as a subsitute if needed (I hardly use any blush). But the pink looks nice, paired with all the other colors. Especially the brighter colors. Helps to tone them down. IMO!

I wasn't sure about the kiwi green either but then I used it and see its potential. It looks great with the new blue, Pacific Point, and with the new red, Riding Hood Red. The light blue, Baja Breeze, is wonderful and looks fabulous with Soft Sky.

Would you say the pink is a nice "Baby Pink"?

How does the new pink compare to pretty in pink? and the new light blue to bashful blue? on my computer they look pretty much the same as those two current colors, and I didn't even think to compare with blush or soft sky.

Pink Pirouette is lighter than pretty in pink but darker than blush blossom. (Blush blosssom, by the way, looks awesome with riding hood red)
Baha breeze is nothing like bashful blue. It's a lot more green in person.
Riding Hood Red is somewhere between Ruby Red and the Cranberry Crisp color from a couple of years ago, but it's more vibrant and intense.

I'm not fond of the orange and red though... They are different when sitting right next to only orange, pumpkin pie and real red, but they are just too close for me to buy them.
I do like the other 4 colors though! I think kiwi kiss looks similar to PTI spring moss, not exactly like it, but similar.

I've never been a big fan of Glorious Green, but I held it up with Pacific Point and Baja Breeze and am thinking that combo has potential.

Old Olive has always been my Go To color, but I'm thinking that I'll be reaching for Kiwi Kiss a lot!
I think that of all the new In Colors, Pacific Point is the color that definitely filled a void in the 48 SU colors. It's a great alternative to Brilliant Blue (which I never use).

I think the cards in the gallery are going to look very different when people start to use the new in-colors. Many people will say they are too bright, but when you start to work with them, I bet a lot of people are won over. Last year's in-colors were so soft and subtle. It's going to be interesting to see all those tangerine and red cards in the gallery....everything will be popping right off the screen! (especially with the matching SU! DP).

I love all of the inks. I actually like the Kiwi ink better than the Kiwi paper. I love the Riding Hood, Tangering and Pacific too. And, I like Pirouette lots. Baja is nice but actually on the bottom of my list. Still, I love them all.

Thanks for those fabulous comparisons, Dawn! I really like the pacific point, baja breeze and new pink, I really dislike the kiwi, and I think the orange and red look too similar to colors SU already has. Of course, I will probably change my mind the more people upload with the new in-colors every day! This is just my "first impressions!"
