Wow read the first page of the thread and all i can think is wow how can you not love the Bella's - I believe i own half of them now with an order on its way to me again. I order soon as i see a new one now i have the bed one coming and the jammy one. Its like everything else though not everyone likes everything thats the great thing about stamping there is something for everyone....
Ladies - everyone is entitled to their opinion and free to express it here in the SCS Forums as long as it is done respectfully- which the OP was. You are also free to agree or disagree respectfully, but there is no need to tell the OP that her post was in any way inappropriate.
As Jenn said earlier - Let's Play Nice!
And btw- just for the record - there have been plenty of threads about SU sets people didn't care for! Clarence and Children of the Corn come to mind among others.;)
Which one was Clarence? I know Children of the Corn.

There is a big difference between simply not knowing how to use a product or not seeing the benefit of it and posting publicly that you do not see why people like another person's artwork. If she said something like "I'm looking at these Bellas and I'm wondering if people can suggest how they can be used in card and scrapbook pages," that's one thing. It's a completely different thing to say "What's the big deal and why does everyone like Bellas? I don't get it. I don't like them." This is more like going into someone's gallery and leaving comments like "I don't really like your card. I don't get why you are using stamp X. I don't like stamp X. I don't understand why you do." I don't like a lot of the stamps out there. I'm not announcing it in hopes of finding others who dislike them too. What is the point in that?
The bottom line for me is: Em is a member of the SCS community. She reads these posts. Absolutely NO ONE wants to hear "I don't care for your art and I don't get what others see in it either." It's just unnecessary, unproductive and silly.
That is they beauty of enjoying a creative hobby. There are so many different styles! And so many different tastes! And that's great thing. Now, I like rubber stamps in general. I love the everything from Stampin' Up (of course) to the dollar stamps. And, I am partial to a certain stamp company myself, (just begin silly here) but what I love is not for everyone.
The good news is that we have Splitcoaststampers and we can express our opinions freely. The OP certainly did not say anything wrong, in fact, she complimented many of the samples that people posted using the Bella stamps. She was just stating her opinion that they are not for her. I have heard stampers who are partial to other direct sales companies state that CTMH is not for them. (just an example and not my opinion at all.) That doesn't mean that CTMH products are no good. They are fabulous high quality prodcuts, just not for everyone.
I don't care for asparagus. I don't get it? Why do people like that taste? Well they do! In fact, it's pretty expensive and always served at the best restaurants. But I don't care for it just the same. My opinion. And know you all know. LOL!
It just makes me sad to see anyone's feelings get hurt or anyone's comments get distorted.
Have a great night.
Gina K.
Absolutely love GINAK stamps too but not really too big on the asaragus thing but then i love brocolli and every time i cook it i hear my husband complain for hours because of the smell... HEHE

Very well stated and, LOL! Yes, I remember that too!

Which one was Clarence? I know Children of the Corn.
I believe Clarence was the clown set that came out in one of the mini's. I liked the set but didn't buy because i really didn't have nothing to do with it personally. But i own The corn kids and love them... LOL
I have to say Bellas arent my thing either, but I can appreciate why many people think they are cute. I just cant usually convince myself to by an image that I could very easily draw myself. That and as my friend Alli says: "the minute everyone wants something you deliberately don't want it!" :p
Don't care for the Bellas at all ...but LOVE Penny Black stamps and of course all my SU (which I truly consider the best designs and buy out there)..
but as some have said..to each their own - life would be so dull without variety
Sigh..... I don't Get the Bellas either, but people are sure doing cute things with them. It is a good thing that we don't all have the same tastes. I love the doodles, but lots of people don't care for them. That doesn't mean that we can't all play right beside each other in our huge sandbox here! Have fun with what you love.
I had a hairbow business a long time ago. People would shop and talk about the bows right in front of you- I did not ever take it personally, people come from all walks of life, and some feel it is OK to express their likes and dislikes openly. Whatever.... it did not bother me, and often I would listen and even craft an item from their comments.....
I think the companies who make stamps and other retail items look at what is selling and are in tune with offering new items for those that are not selling- they will be successful. There will always be someone that will find one product or another that is not their taste. If Em is really listening, she will find something to offer on her website for those who are not interested in the Bella's- Grandma Stamps or the Plus size or middle aged stamps- there is a huge market out there!!!
Just curious...are some of you not interested in the Bellas cause you aren't as skinny or as young as she is???? That seems to be what I'm getting from alot of the responses....like if Em would make a grandma or a plus size then I would buy it.... thats weird....I buy the Old Folks from Art Impressions but I don't consider myself an OLD FOLK.....I buy Gnomes from SU,but I don't think I'm a gnome.....just asking? I'm 51..short...over weight....have to dye ,my hair to cover the gray...I think they are adorable....But I'm not in a Bella cult or anything.....and that was a cute pic a little ways up of a smiley beating a dead horse to death..................
I love my Bella's and just had to post my cards in the Gallery. This is the first time I've posted anything to the gallery, I think. I can't post the link because it says I can't, so please check them out in the gallery.

Gina Asparagus is Wonderful.... I love It. But hate the price of it!!! Yes there are foods, Clothes and even Stamps that we don't like. But hey that's what makes the world goes around.
Just think it everyone like the same things....Just how boring life would be!!

Oh, I remember! Jest Between Friends, I think. Thanks!

I very much enjoy seeing the cards made with the Bellas! I wouldn't buy them myself because:
1) I'm an SU demo and while I've "strayed" a little with Basic Grey paper, and Cuttlebug, and Stickles, I'm trying to not buy any non-SU stamps! <g>
2) I don't really know who I would send them to - I obviously wouldn't be demo'ing them! You 20-something daughters might appreciate them maybe.
3) They just aren't "my style" IN GENERAL, but I do like certain ones - like the Jammies one, and the TeacherBella (my girls are all teachers). The unmounted rubber doesn't bother me at all. I did a little of that in my pre-SU days.
I do like the website and I think she has a lot of cute stamps. I would be very interested to see if she comes up with a Chubby-a-Bella! Speaking of such things, look at these stamps from Eat Cake Graphics!
(Pearl, Doris and Walter from the above category).
This is a small stamp company run out of a garage - it's been around for quite a few years. For prices, go to the Ordering tab. You have to notice the alphabet letter that's associated with the stamp you want. Many of the large stamps I mentioned above are 3.5 x 2 inches (roughly) and UM they are only $4.00 or so, and mounted is double that. These UM stamps DO need cushion of some kind, however. I played with these during my pre-SU days and they make VERY cute cards and are especially good with various coloring techniques (like Prismacolor pencils and gamsol, WC'ing, etc).
Anyway, just wanted to put a plug in for this unique, small stamp company - your stamps aren't MADE til you order them, and there is an interesting page on the website about how they make their stamps starting with the drawing!

At first, I didn't know what bellas were, I did read about it in the threads and wondered "what are they talking about?" Didn't appeal to me at first glance, took another look, saw some beautiful cards made and remembered I have a 15 yr old niece who would enjoy these stamps too. So I dived and ordered 52 bellas (to save me on shipping) And my niece and I couldn't be happier with the purchase. At least, we get to share my stuff  Hey what can I say, they grew on me....
52!!! Woweeee!!!! Can I come play with you????? I *love* the superwoman bella ( not sure of her name) and the oval frame! They are adorable!! But I would be in big trouble with my dh if I ordered 52!!!! Lucky!
OMG, i have read all the posts and have been laughing so much. Some of you are very funny and i like your sence of humor. I happen to like the bellas, I am a dem for SU (in name only, have never done a dem and don't want to, but very much like the 20% disc), like some of their stamps, & love all of their card stock. The Bellas were very different and got me to create differently, sort of outside of the box. so I took the plunge and at first ordered only 1, but after playing with tinkerbella, I immediately put in another order for 4 more, and then the next day I ordered another 5, but that's me, I'm ocd., when I want something I have to have it all, and right away. And I also have to say that I asked if my orders could be combined so shipping would be combined and Em combined shipping for me. I really appreciated that. That doesn't happen with a big company! I also read the links here about Inky Antics and immediately went over to that site and ordered somemore stamps.the martini ones...they'll go great with my cosmobella that i am anxiously awaiting. For me, It's all about versatility and changing things up a little bit. Sorry this is so long, but i ingested quite a bit reading all 152 posts! LOL! Ok, now what is prismacolors and how do you use them, and where do you get them? hope i didn't miss anything...thanks, lorraine
You sound like my type of gal!! Becasue of this site, I have purchased a cuttlebug, 9 embossing folders, Prismacolor pencils, gamsol, prima flowers, signed up as an SU Demo, bought 5 bellas..... the list goes on. Just do a search for prismacolor pencils. I guarantee you will be purchasing them by the weekend! Have fun!
Okay I read about half the posts here... I totally thought I was the only one out there that didn't really like the bellas... they creap me out!! Their faces are sooo weird.
Yes, please create her evil twin sister "booty-do" bella---you know her belly (bella) hangs down more than her booty do.
Yes, I'm twisted sick I know....but since my hysterectomy I have morphed into the booty do bella. Gag. Yikes:rolleyes:
I'll wait for the big bellas to come out. I think they're cute, but I've not caught the "totally" bella bug.

OMGosh!!! I LOVE these! They are so adorable! I don't know why they speak to me so much, but they really do! So sweet! This site is going into my favorites and I *will* order from them soon!

Isn't it great that we can come here and share our likes and dislikes?? I, too, am not a big Bella fan. Not that they aren't cute, that just don't "float my boat", kwim?? To be fair, there are many sets in the current SU catalog that don't do it for me, either. Like, what the HECK is up with the Santa on a Harley??? (No offense to you biker babes, but Santa belongs in a sleigh!!) I have never had even ONE customer so much as look at that set!! There are many others, too many to mention!! That's why hobbies are great! And, I will admit that I was swayed to buy MANY a set because of the awesome stuff posted here on SCS!! We are ALL amazing, aren't we????
