Is there a theme or something you can give us to spout ideas for? Or are you looking for us to help come up with a theme?

There really isn't a theme for the party itself, besides the fact that it is a surprise party and he is turning 80. I am completely lost for ideas on this one. So any ideas would be great!!!

Default Well... since he is turning 80,

I would go with a vintage look for the invites. You could even try using a couple of the Vintage Keepsakes SS kits, and making invitations using them. I read once that someone made like 65 cards from one kit!

For Fathers Day I made cute cards out of the John Deere paper they have in the scrapbook stores now. You could use that under velum. Or just cut your cardstock in 4ths print out your info on white paper cut it a little smaller than your cardstock, use a corner cutter and stamp a stamp on the bottom corner with something that would be of interest to him. Then tie the 2 together with a little ribbon and mail them. I guess a simple 80 in the corner would be fine as well

I think the pocket cards with the tag inserts are just too cute.....and they make darling invitations! Why not just use a primary color choice with regular Happy Birthday stamps........like party hats, balloons, etc....? You might even attach a real balloon on the pocket or tag. The checkered ribbon in red would be cute with this theme.
