I can be dense sometimes, and this is one of those times...

I was in a non-card swap and received an item which, when unfolded is 3 1/4" x 8 1/2". It is folded over 2 1/8" inches from the top. It has velcro stuck to the inside of the flap with the other piece for me to stick on.

Here's the question...What the heck is it? I know it is so simple and I'm sure I will fell reeeeeaaaallllllyyy stupid when I find out, but right now knowing is more important to me than keeping from looking stupid. The artist's information is not on the back, so I can't even contact her.

Thank you all, and please be kind. Dawn

KarenB 09-29-2004 09:05 AM

Memo-pad holder??

AngFab 09-29-2004 09:07 AM

Gift card holder???

tiny bubbles 09-29-2004 09:08 AM

Okay, the thing is, there is only one fold. How would I fold this to finish it?

Inkalicious 09-29-2004 09:11 AM

What about a long grocery list holder??

I had thought of that, but what would the velcro be for?

Do you think you could scan it and show us?

Does it look like this? I got this in a swap and have no idea what it is for!!!

tiny bubbles 09-29-2004 09:24 AM

That is exactly what it looks like. We must have been in the same swap!

AngFab 09-29-2004 09:25 AM

Sue W - your picture looks like a grocery list holder (insert your own list paper???) or maybe a bookmark?

I'm SO curious now! I'm following this thread to see the answer!!

StampinHappyInCT 09-29-2004 09:27 AM

What did you make for the swap? I made the pencil pouch and tea bag/envelope thingy.

AngFab 09-29-2004 09:27 AM

Okay - so either way, bookmark or grocery list holder, I have no idea what the velcro would be for. Unless it is a gift card holder and you finish it out to the size you need?

Maybe you'll get lucky and the person who made them will see this thread!

I made the set of wine glass/water bottle rings.

Is the dot of velcro on the flap oe where the flap meets the back(inside)? If its on the inside back, maybe you put a dot of velcro on the back of a long notepad, and adhere it so you can still pull of sheets. Then get another velcro dot and put on a new pad when first one runs out? Hmmm...

I was in this swap too- GREAT SWAP!! by the way!
I did NOT make this but I think it's a post-it note holder. I put a post-it in mine and just folded the bottom up where it needed a fold and then stuck the velcro down. I think whoever made it didn't score the second fold for us since she would not know how thick our notepad would be? Just my guess.
