I am sooo weak!!!!
I told myself I had enough stamps, I didn't need to order, it's crazy how many stamps I have (though admittedly most have seen ink...), I just got an order from StampinTreasures, yadda, yadda, but I CAVED this morning and ordered Merry and Bright and First Fruits from PTI. And of course, I had to get free shipping, so I ordered a reinker as well.
Weak, I say! What's that saying about good intentions?
Who else has fallen off the wagon lately? Please, please tell me I'm not alone!

Hi.......I place many orders with Stamping Cottage and always exceed the free shipping minimum. Not to mention the super customer service that Michelle offers!
The free shipping or lower prices does kinda tend to push us over budgets.

I have sold about 3-4 groceries bags of stamps that I won't use anymore so I don't feel so guilty when I buy more. I did that will CS too but I gave it away at work. Wow, I didn't realize how much CS, it was crazy. I'm so excited to have more storage space for things I really use.

Listen, LateBlossom, I am in the same boat as you. I just ordered 3 of the new PTI stamp sets along with other goodies. Nothing wrong with that you say! Well, yes, if I hadn't just placed a huge order with SU! a week before. As if that's not enough, I have my eye on some new sets just released from Verve that I feel I MUST have.
Oh, where does it end! I am so addicted!

Yeah, Lisa, I got two sets from SU a few weeks ago...Snow Swirled and the smaller silhouettes set (can't remember the name). Snow Swirled has seen ink already, the other not so much....
Oh, will it end? I hope not!

I cannot even get on the wagon to fall off. I have made the following adjustments in my life to justify spending on MORE stamping supplies.
1. We no longer buy groceries. Sit it line at the soup kitchen.
2. We not longer purchase clothes..we rob the Good will box instead....
I hope you all know I am just kidding...but I have thought about it.
lol
Blessings.

I'm in real trouble when I get my job and my first paycheck.....I've been having to hold back WAAAAYYY too much lately! It's almost painful! LOL!

Oh I have so fallen off the wagon this month!
I ordered some great stamps from Doodle factory, I'm working on getting more boy sets so the robots and their creatures are WAY CUTE! and had to get a couple of retired SU! sets- I was kicking myself over not getting when they had been here. I did my regular monthly SU! order because i'm getting ready for Halloween so I needed some of the new wheels and the paper. And i've been eyeing some goodies from CTMH and i'm thinking since this month is blown for being good anyway what's another couple of things.... I'm so terrible! but its for halloween so it would get used right away, plus there is always a few bdays that I can use all this new stuff for too.... ya, its all good I have definately "needed" these things. lol.

Well....since I never put myself on the wagon I can't say that I've fallen off. If it makes you feel any better, you will absolutely LOVE the First Fruits set...I just ordered Merry & Bright so we'll see about that one. You can't go wrong when you order from PTI!

Oh hon you're never alone on here!!! We're like a huge family!! Not only are majority of us stamp addicts but a lot of us are hoarders and can never use what we have for fear we'll never be able to get our hands on more! Talk about issues! My goal is to start USING what I have, I just ordered all the new JustRite stamps & Scor-pal from Polka Dot Plaza, plus more bellas & stellas from Stampingbella, AND the Merry & Bright, Snowman, Mixed Messages and like 3 others from PTI *gasp*. I sold $200 in retired SU stamps and I "tell" my DH that's where I'm getting the funds to pay for everything *yea right*. And don't think i didn't set an alarm on my phone for the 15% off sale at KSS on the 25th.
It's a sickness.....but we don't WANT to get better.

Ha, ha, ha, ha! I've so said that before....
I started using some PTI sets that hadn't seen ink yet today. I figure I'll have inked at least some of every set I own before the new order arrives. Which hopefully is tomorrow, seeing as DH doesn't know about this and I don't want it to get here on the weekend. Oh, the shame!

Yeah, me too
I just had a $150 SU order a week or two ago and thought "Okay. I'm set for awhile."
I went to Michael's yesterday to pick up supplies for a gift (I found a great box and filled it with sitckers, pompoms, crayons etc to make a Craft Box of a friend's little girl's bday) and of course I left with a new stamp set!
It's Inkadinkado's Beautiful Fairies! It was too CUTE! I HAD to get it.

Lol, I got a baby sitting job...JUST to pay for SU stuff when I knew I was going to be a demo. I am a homemaker the rest of the time.
So I saved up for a few weeks and then just blew it all this week. Luckily it's a steady weekly sitting job, so I'll save some more, then spend some more

I've given up on the I have enough theme, despite my siggy, lol! Ya know if folks would stop making stinkin' cute stamp sets and gorgeous dp it'd help.
My famous last words were, about a year into my stampin' obsession, I said to my demo "I have 20 stamp sets now. That should be enough, right?" Now I'm over 200 and counting. Geesh!
And I agree with previous poster - clothes are way overrated.

I agree, too. Now that I'm a SAHM (and have been for 8 years) my wardrobe consists of sale items from LLBean and Eddie Bauer. Can't remember the last time I paid full price for something...all so as to have more moolah for stamps.
When my DH retired from the AF last year, I had to buy a dress for the ceremony. I searched high and low for something appropriate and my style (it was so hard and frustrating!) and finally found a black dress at Macy's on sale for $70. It KILLED me to pay that for a stinkin' dress, but it looked great and fit perfectly and I had to show respect for DH seeing as I was so proud of his 20 years of service to our great country.
But you all know how many stamps I could have purchased with that $70.

You ladies are such a riot...lights are now turned off for nonpayment of bill, have to pee in backyard due to not paying water bill and we are presently heating the house with the methane gas we generate due to disconnect by gas company...I am so tickled to have "found" more money for stamping supplies...lol
****just kidding...I havent gotten that bad yet but WOW...I am thinking about it...
Blessings...

Let's all admit it. We are bad.
I think this week's economic news, however, did me in. I haven't bought anything in over 96 hours!!!!

Think of it this way...it's great therapy. Tell me you don't forget all your troubles when you're busy creating! And, have you seen the cost of a therapist lately? Purchasing stamps and creating your beautiful cards and scrapbook pages is less expensive than paying the doc!

Guilty!
Oh yeah, I stimulated the stamping economy just fine last week. Let's see what did I do...............oh yeah:
Big order w/SU
Big order w/Amuse
Small order w/Scrapbook.com
Small order w/Stop & Scrap
Small order w/All That Scraps
LOL and I am still considering ordering some Copic markers (a set no less).
I am a bad girl.

Oh, that's sweet.
Here's why it is ok
1. but they last forever....
2. it's cheaper than therapy (um, I've tried both and I think my addiction has officially passed the doc bill!)
3. it is "art" and that is a high calling.
4. it is our money and we can do what we want with it.
5. I think it MIGHT be cheaper than cocaine, but haven't checked!
