Default I am headed to my first scrapbook night. Is it rude to take card projects?

I don't do a lot of scrapbooks and I am not ready becuase my pictures are a disaster!
So do you think the lady would be offended if I took Christmas cards to work on instead?
And how much stuff should I take? I have so much stuff!!! Should I take pens, pencils decroator scissors, etc etc for others to borrow or how does that typically work?

I am so excited!!!

I would call and ask the hostess. She may have pre -planned projects to do.

Otherwise I'd say go for it, bring enough to play around with and to make enough cards that you can possbily think that you can make in one night. As far as your items go- bring them, but make sure that you have some kind of mark on them so you can make sure that you get your rightful items back.

I guess it would depend on what is planned. Is this like a crop night where you bring what you like?? I don't see why you couldn't bring what you want to that. OR is it like a party/workshop where someone will be giving a presentation and selling their product. What did you invite say or the Hostess say to bring?

Good luck!

I know there isn't a demo there and I don't believe any are invited either. It is just a neighborhood thing for the ladies.

Last time I went to a crop with my DD, I took cards and another lady joined me in card making!

Absolutely bring your card making stuff! You never know, you might get someone more interested in making cards than scrapbooking, that is how I got hooked! I would just pick a couple of projects you want to do, pre-plan them and take all the stuff to make them, but nothing more. For example, maybe you want to make Christmas cards or something? Have a lot of fun!

I go with whatever I want when I go to crops. I make cards more than I make SB pages. So does my friend.

Im certain she wont mind a bit!

I don't scrapbook so when my friends arrange a crop night, I bring my cards to work on. And I agree, many times other ladies attending will want to make cards too. If it is just a get together, go have fun.

I do plan several cards in advance so I don't have to bring everything with me or wish I had something I don't.

I asked and she said that was fine. I have paper cut and I will stamp when I get there and then color. That should be enough to keep me busy for hours!
It should be fun

Have a great time! When I joined a scrapbook group I spent the first YEAR doing nothing but organizing my photos and watching and learning from all the great scrapbookers

This sounds like me. Before I started cardin' there was this group of Moms that got together to do scrapbooking, and I just walked around looking at everyone else's scrapbooks. Once I even brought my taxes to work on! But now that I'm making cards, I usually have a papercrafting project (or cards) to work on right along with everyone else.
(And it's more fun than taxes too! LOL)
