Chalk inks

I bought some chalk inks this week, and now I don't know what to do with them! I did crinkled chalks last night and loved the effects. What does everyone do with their chalk ink?

Faux linen works great with chalks but I use chalk inks in the same way as dye inks when I want a more opaque effect. They also look great direct to paper, or drunken chalks look really good, you can see it in the resources section.

Thanks, Ally, now I know I'm not crazy! I specifically bought the chalk inks to do faux linen, but when I pulled up the tutorial last night, it said to use classic or craft ink. I thought I'd had a meno-moment. Thanks for reassuring me that there are a few brain cells still working up there!

I like using bold (solid) flowers and petals with the chalk inks on top of watercolor paper. It gives it such a rich and textured look! You can cut them out from there or, just leave them and use it like that!

I use chalk inks for EVERYTHING (literally). I love the coverage, the versatility. I use embossing powder on them (or not). I love the richer, thicker color. If I am in a hurry for it to dry, I just use my heat gun. I use my Color Box Cat's eye chalks--and pigment inks--for all my stamping.

I like Chalk Inks much better than Craft Ink for Faux Linen
