I was having computer issues, called Dell Technical Support and hubby took over the phone call for the trouble shooting as I was having trouble trying to take apart my computer. So he said to me, I will take care of the computer, you just go over there and stamp! Of course, I was a 'good girl' and obeyed him and stamped! WooHoo - life is good!
That is awesome!! Your hubby is very nice, and sounds like a good man!! Mine is exactly like that too, but mine has a fetish with the phone, and HATES to talk on it!! He will actually do anything to avoid it!! What a cute story!! Karen
Good for Hubby! He is a keeper. Mine is like that, too. He handles all the computer stuff in our house.
He got me a laptop one Christmas to get my mind off the passing of my Dad. At first, I would not even touch it. Now, I wonder if he is sorry he taught me how to use it! I have learned how do searches and howto place stamp orders! Hehehehe!:-D
Cute story! Cook him his favs this weekend! I hope he succeeded and you have no more headaches.
If its a call to a tech at my server, I have to deal with them. Its always an hr or 2. BUT, to mess with the guts of the tower, fergit it! DH thinks he's the only gender capable.. which, is FINE with me!! ;)
May God bless, Sandi

OMG he is wonderful. I owned 2 dell laptops and I HATE HATE their customer service. I have spoken to them numerous times and have NEVER had a conversation with Dell technical support that lasted less than an hour. Your hubby is an angel for dealing with Dell and letting you do what you love.

Oh lucky you...mine cannot even spell compooter much less use one. I am not kidding when I type this; this is how I get his handwritten emails to send to customers:
customeratgmaildotcom
I asked him about the dot-was it really a dot or a period and he starts yelling I put the dot. No, goofy, you wrote dot....

SSSHHHH ... mine's a Dell and it will hear you!;-)
Let me get this straight - you called Dell service and you could ACTUALLY understand the person from Dell? I can never understand a word they're saying because they speak with such horrible accents!
My husband would never try to help with my laptop or any other computer, but he's still wonderful. In fact, he has such bad luck with computers, he doesn't like using them!
I tell him I'm thinking about buying such and such and he says, well, buy it! It's not like you spend a lot of clothes or makeup or hair care, etc. So I do!
(But then, again, ask DH what HE got for Christmas for his hobbies....- because I'm the same way with him.)
The only thing I really buy now is stamps, cardstock and stuff I use up. I had everything for stamping (inkpads, markers, etc.) before we met.
He is just starting to realize how much money I have tied up into my stamping! He bought me some CTMH stamp sets for Christmas and when I opened them, he said, ok, I know what I paid for these stamps sets, so how many stamps do you own now? About 2/3 of my sets I had before I even met him!
Your hubby is so sweet! I can never figure out computer stuff! On a side note, I had a Dell and did not like their cs at all. Now I own a Mac and I love everything about it (including customer service!)

Agreed, once you go MAC you'll never go back.
And your DH is a keeper.

LOL I feel obligated to buy some earplugs for the poor thing. You're too funny. I do hope you never have to go through what I've gone through with them.

Thanks for the kind words about hubby! He is indeed a keeper - We've been married 25 years and look forward to many more! Thankfully, he supports my hobby/obsession - he even took me on the stamping cruise this fall!
I was having a hard time understanding the Dell guy, but fortunately, hubby took over and together they fixed my computer! Yippee! (and while they were fussing with my computer - I got to stamp! - A double win situation for me!!!)
