Default HOW TO USE DAZZLING DIAMONDS GLITTER

I am new to SU. I just purchased Dazzling Diamonds Glitter; I used Versa mark first then poured the glitter onto the paper. What do I do to keep the glitter adhered to the paper, it all fell off the stamped image? Any help would be appreciated.

I use the two-way glue pen SU sells.

I am by no means an experienced stamper, but this is how my demo taught us to use the glitter. Put the glitter in a container wide enough to fit a card, that is what she keeps it is. Use the SU glue pen wherever you want the glitter. That is nice bcs you can get flower petals and other small places. Then, dip the card into glitter, only whatever portion of the card you have to dip. Shake card into container and flick to try to get all excess off. Flick carefully, you will already have glitter all over anyway, you do not want to make it worse.

Also, she will use the 1/8th of a SU sponge (cut into a wedge) to color edges of cs and ripped edges, etc. She gets ink from the inkpads, then dabs it wherever. You can use this to "color" under wherever you want the glitter, the dazz diamonds will take on that color...so it may be the only color of glitter you will have to have.

Yes, use the two-way glue pen (be sure to flip it over and rub that glitter and glue bond together), sticky strip or liquid glue.

Pearl ex can be dry brushed onto your Versa marked images.

Stewart Superior has a new glue pad that can be used for stamping and glittering images... this looks really nice with things like snowflakes!

Default glitter

using heat and stick powder works too (if you want your entire stamped image to be glittery). My demo had us make a card using snowflake stamps.

First we stamped with versamark, we covered the stamped images with heat and stick powder, tapped off the excess and then heated with heat gun. Then when the powder was heated and tacky, we covered the image with dazzling diamonds and then heated just a tad bit more to set.

I've also blended it with EP and used it that way. Does some cool things especially with silver, black and clear over colored ink.

Versamark is slightly tacky so it looks like the glitter will stick to it, and it will - for a few minutes.

If you want the image to be completely covered in glitter, you need to get some heat & stick powder and use the embossing gun to set the glitter.
1. stamp in either versamark, embossing ink, or craft ink
2. pour on heat & stick powder
3. melt with embossing gun (just till shiny)
4. pour on the glitter
5. set with embossing gun

If you just want a few little dots then the 2 way glue pen or liquid glue are fine.

I also use my Xyron when I want an all over glitter effect. If you want glue on both sides, run the item thru the xyron right side up, don't peel off the backing, trim the item to the size you want, backing and all. Next run the item thru the Xyron again upside down, peel the backing off the top and adhere the dazzeling diamonds. Pull the backing off the bottom and adhere the item to your card.
