?? -- How True is the Color...
...in the catty (page 232) of the ribbons?
I want to get a green ribbon as close as possible to our OLD OLIVE cardstock. However, the organdy (wide and narrow) in the catty is so dull/taupe looking to me. The (#12 apple green) grosgrain looks more to my liking of a match. But again, I don't know how close the photos match to the real thing. Does anyone have any of these and can you tell me what matches best to the cardstock? I am planning an upcoming stamp camp and I want to order the best choice. I would appreciate a response as quickly as possible, as I need to place the order tomorrow. Thanks to all for reading, checking your supplies, and responding. Stamping in Maine |
I have the apple green and I don't think it would work at all with Old Olive. Too bright. I don't have the other green.

Either of these should be fine with old olive.

Hey, I dye my white with the ink pad. That way you only need to buy white and match it to any color you want.

You can also use re-inkers and a little water w/ white to dye your ribbon any color you need it to be - nice way to match your ribbon to any color you want to! HTH

Ribbon Matches
Thanks for the responses. I think I'll go ahead and order the spring moss grosgrain and olive narrow ribbons. But I may also show them how to take white and "dye" it so they can have whatever they want, whenever. Maybe it'll sell the white ribbon!
Thanks for the tips! -- Denise |
