Default Holiday Mini - ? on Rough Edge/ Straight Up Alphabets

Are the alphabets pre-assembled for gift giving? I'm just questioning because of the way it is displayed in the mini.

TIA!

Linda

You do have to mount the small alphabets in the holiday mini. I know the picture makes it look as though they are already mounted but they are not.

Default Follow up question

Another question - do you just pull apart the letters and stick them on or is there trimming involved? It almost appears as though they are all pre-cut squares that pull apart to assemble. Just curious...

I was wondering the same thing, BasketMom. Could someone describe how these are assembled? Are the alphabets easy to stamp with? Thanks!

They have to be mounted. The letters come in one sheet and you cut them apart. Then they need a little trimming so as not to overlap the top of the wood block. I'll be honest with you, they're not easy to mount, but I think they'll be lots of fun! I haven't stamped w/ them much yet.

These are both tiny alphabets - remember, SU shows catalog stamp images actual size.

Looks like whoever prepared the Holiday mini thought the stamps too small to trim and just mounted them as they would come, pull apart little squares. I guess trimming would be a personal choice.

Any alphabet can be a great asset to your collection even those of us who can't spell-er right!

BTW - the rubber for these alphas are NOT perforated like all the other stamp sets so you HAVE to cut them apart to mount - it's best to cut them into squares b/c they are such a small size. The mini shows the stamps mounted to give you an idea as to the best way to mount them (did the same thing in the big catty). HTH!

I have the straight up alphabet - honestly if you trim exactly like they tell you to with a good sharp pair of scissors (I used the craft and rubber ones) you will be just fine. I had trauma hearing of people mounting the mini alpha sets - but when I got my set, it really went okay!

I LOVE these little alphabets - I have been hoping and hoping that SU would get them one day!!
