how to price altered file folder notebook & pen sets

Hi, I've searched and can't find an answer to this; when you sell altered file folders at craft fairs, how much do you sell them for? Mine are decorated and tie together with a ribbon around the whole thing. Inside is the junior legal size pad and the empty side pocket. I include a pen to match with dp placed in the pen barrel. Thanks for any advice you can give to me!

You should start with a figure that is at least 2 - 2 1/2 times what it cost you to make it. I try to use that as a basis - with some tweaking. Would I spend it for that item? AND where you are selling too. I haven't sold any of those, but I do like them a lot. Bought some of the folders (now retired) from SU and got some at Michael's too to try it out. The SU ones would make it a bit more expensive to do and sell.

I have been making these too! I love how easy they are and how cute they turn out. I was thinking of selling them for between $4-$5. I thought I would start with $5 and if no takers marking them down to $4. I know I would pay that, especially for a neat little gift like this.
