Default Christmas wish list- took kit or Plaidmaker?

OK, want to make my Christmas list with something I'd probably not buy for myself. I was thinking the crafter's tool kit for sure since I like that paper peircing thing but then there was that cute snowman card in the SS with the Plaidmaker (of course I'd need the brayer as well).
Which do you ladies prefer?????

Definitely the tool kit! I have a plaid maker and honestly, I love the look, but it is a pain to use! I have a brayer and all that...it's just a pain! I love the tool kit though...all in one place. I haven't even used any of the cool stuff yet.

Emily, be sure not to wear out your tool kit, I don't know where you would get another one!

I would go for the tool kit too!

I have the plaidmaker and as cool as it is, I think it's messy. I have the toolkit, and absolutely love it!

I would definitely say the toolkit!

Personally, I'd probably go for the tool kit, but you don't have to have a brayer to work with the plaidmaker. I use sponges with mine, and if you don't mind the odd colored fingers it works fine. (Is there a way to use sponges and NOT wind up with strange colored fingers?) I'd rather do it that way anyway, because I don't have enough brayers to do multiple colors anyway.

definitely tool kit. plaidmakers are nice, but you can use the tool kit for so many things whereas the plaidmakers are really only good for... making plaids.

I vote for the tool kit also. There are just so many more uses for it than the plaidmaker. I have the plaidmaker and I had not used it until I signed up to do a swap that was specifically for the plaidmaker.

Totally agree, I'd go for the tool set...I haven't bought one yet as I already have 3 hammers, two setters, a japanese hand drill and MM boxed set...somehow I just can't find a way to justify buying the tool set (darn!!!), when I see it though...I keep trying to find a way!

Good choice you'll love the tool kit.

Now if you end up with the plaid maker and use sponges....Just keep a little pumice stone next to where you wash your hands. Rub gently and the color will come right of. It's just like an eraser for the skin.

I too have both and I love both of them. Instead of using sponges where your fingers get all messy, use your sponge daubers - same effect, clean hands. I love the plaid maker because it allows me to make any paper design I need for my cards. As far as the tool kit, I now set all my eyelets perfectly with the eyelet hole chart. And I love the paper piercing tool. I also love how it is all together in one place. Just my two cents.
