Can someone please tell me how to post a direct link when posting in the gallery?
So, I know how to do it when posting to a regular thread (the little "insert link" symbol)...but there are times when I want to give credit in the "body" part of my gallery post and I am just not quite sure how to do it like everyone else does.

I do know if you edit, you can then go advanced and do it, but I want to know an easier way too.
Okay, this is what I've been using when I remember to. I just kept playing with this and editing till it came out right.
This will give you a click here for more details, just change those words if you want something different. Just take the 7 out. I had to put that there to keep it from showing up as link.

Usually what I do is open another SCS window, open the card that I want to direct link to, click on the address of that card at the top (www.splitcoaststampers.....) to copy and then paste into the body of my comments. Don't know if my explanation makes any sense - I can do it, just don't know if I can explain it so that it makes sense. You are basically copying and then pasting. Hope this helps and doesn't confuse.

I do know how to do this...I wanted it so that you would click on the actual word for the link...I know it can be done, because others do it...I just don't know how!

thanks Emily. Julie HRR put that in a post awhile back, but I didn't write it down. (Going for Post it note now)
Okay, either I am thoroughly confused (most likely) or I am confusing everyone else. I know how to do this when I am posting on the Challenge thread itself. What I am wanting to do is to show the link within my gallery post itself. Here is an example (first one I came across in the gallery, which of course was about 7 pages in, lol).

My directions and Emily's are for the gallery, I tested Emily's and it works, the only difference is mine will add a color to the word.
I left spaces where Emily put in a red seven...but she told you to take it out and I said told leave spaces in.
Just remember the gallery takes a while to update if you are testing it there now and not seeing it right away.
You can test this in a personal message and preview it instead of clicking submit to know if you're doing it correctly.
BTW, do you use the globe icon when posting a link in the threads? Because you could also do it this long way like we're showing you and have it work in the thread.
Now I'm sure you're totally confused.
I use this method also with the following steps
open the gallery card page of that card only, you are casing or wanting to share
left click on the URL/http address at top of page to highlight and
enter ctrl x
go then to your gallery page you are working on and in the description,
enter on edit at the top of the tool bar and do a paste, it will show up there,
in your description or posting;
but I haven't learned how to give that URL a short name yet.

Maybe I'm missing what you guys are trying to achieve, but I think y'all are making this WAY too hard. Type in what you want the link to say, such as "look HERE", then highlight the word that you want to become a link. Then look for the symbol up above your text box that looks like a world with a paperclip across its bottom. Click that and it will bring up a text box that will allow you to past your link location. Once you past your link location into that box, click ok, and you're done.

Lynn, she's trying to learn to post a link within words in the gallery and there isn't any symbols etc to choose from in there...only in the forums.
OMG...DUH, I finally got it! Thank you, thank you, thank you, ladies for sticking with me on this! You know how you think something is going to drive you crazy if you don't get it figured out...yep, this was it for me! I am only slightly "computer challenged"
