How Many Holiday Cards are you Sending?

I just finished sending out my Christmas cards today, and realized how many I sent...180 cards (and I have some left over!) Is this an unusually high number of cards? How many did y'all make/send?

AndreaSophie 12-13-2004 12:45 PM

Holy cow girl! thats a lot of cards lol! Did you make all of those?

I sent out about 60 this year. Actually, I haven't sent them yet, they are still all sitting here waiting to be mailed! lol!

crazyforstampin 12-13-2004 12:45 PM

Wow 180!!! I have made about 40 so far and plan to make an even 50.

Pinky 12-13-2004 12:46 PM

Christmas cards

I made about 75, but only sent out 50. I only send to out of town friends and family. I had so much fun making my cards this year. This was my first year to make my own Christmas cards and it was so much fun!

Kar 12-13-2004 12:52 PM

wow that is a lot of cards!! I thought my 48 cards I sent out was to many!!! Oh well, I just added a few names to my list and some came off my list. I send them to anyone that sends me one, and if I don't get one from them I don't send one to them the next year!! Gotta be practical after all I think I heard stamps might jump to 40 cents each next year

kehfrog 12-13-2004 12:53 PM

Christmas Cards

I made 52 and sent out 50. I have others that I realized I need to add, so I'll use some from a snowman swap and the workshop I hosted in October.

It sure was fun making them!

stampoholicsunanimous 12-13-2004 12:57 PM

I made 50...then needed 8 more...and sent them all!!! 160???? WOW!!!

amydiehl 12-13-2004 12:58 PM

I'm sending 120 and I thought THAT was a lot!!! You must have lots of friends and a huge family

GMAX 12-13-2004 01:10 PM

55.

12-13-2004 01:40 PM

About 45

Motherof6 12-13-2004 01:41 PM

I mailed out 80 this year. Last year I mailed out 120 but I cleaned out my address book this year a cut down a bit. 180, wow, I don't think I know that many people.

Laurie FW 12-13-2004 01:41 PM

I send out well over 120, but must admit that I only made about 40 of them! (The rest are to far away friends and family who get a photo Christmas card instead!) I always wait until the week after Christmas to send them, people can enjoy reading them more then and I don't have to stress out too much over sending them before Christmas!

mama2jackson 12-13-2004 02:05 PM

WOW! 180 is a LOT of cards!

I made and sent out all 60 of mine!

PaperRapt 12-13-2004 02:07 PM

We are at about 120 this year. We make it a point to communicate with everyone at this time of year...since there is never enough time during the year to do it. I hand stamp cards every other year. This is my year to stamp 'em up!

tomoly 12-13-2004 02:26 PM

Wow! And I thought I was bad. You have me beat. I made and sent 125 and then another 20 for my customers.

JodiAnn 12-13-2004 02:52 PM

I made and mailed 57(all different). Then I made 60 snowman soups and 20 holiday fudges to give to people at work. Whew! It's a relief having them all done!

maslex 12-13-2004 02:54 PM

I made and sent between 45-50.

nkowalk 12-13-2004 02:59 PM

I made & sent out 80 this year and will probably need to make a few more before the season's over. Can't imagine making as much as the original poster!

jess_witty 12-13-2004 04:06 PM

I'm there with you!

150 for us... and it's my first time making them! I did promise DH it would be an incredibly simple design and it is. We didn't send out birth annoucements for our DS this year due to some adoption/NICU stuff, so this card is our birth annoucement/happy adoption finalization/Christmas card - that's why there's so many!

Um... I'm not done yet, by the way! I think my husband is worried... he actually asked if he could help me out... strange!

overcome 12-13-2004 04:15 PM

About 60

witty5 12-13-2004 04:19 PM

Approx. 100
However every year at the last minute my husband usually comes up with an addition 20 something work people he'd like me to make cards for. :D

RenHoward 12-13-2004 04:32 PM

25-30. I don't make myself feel guilty about it either! If I mail one and don't get one for two years in a row, they go off the list. Those are for family and friends who aren't local. For local friends and people that we go to church with, we usually do cookie plates.

Renee

mcharmaine 12-13-2004 04:37 PM

I'm not quite done yet...I hope to finish up tonight. I should have between 80 and 100 to mail out.

luvmystamps3 12-13-2004 04:40 PM

60. I had been making them since Sept. Felt so great to put them all in the mail. Now I need to think about a winter birth announcement for our new baby due in 8 weeks, YIKES!

busystampinjen 12-13-2004 04:47 PM

I always keep my list at 80. I feel 80 is all I can handle and that is a lot of postage as well. I do trim and add to my list each year. You are brave to have a list of 180! Good for you!

pattyb 12-13-2004 05:12 PM

Sent about 20, but I made about 50, some get hand delivered with a cookie plate or other gift.

babscx1 12-13-2004 05:16 PM

I did 75 and have only 5 left over!

jdmeeks 12-13-2004 05:25 PM

I made and sent about 120 cards. Still addressing the last of them this week - running a little behind this year!

scrappin'stamper 12-13-2004 05:27 PM

I actually just finished the addressing writing and sealing!

I counted 58 I think!

I am pretty sure I made 75 in total!

This was in the days of waiting to move back in November so I am thankful I didn't need more since all of my stamping and scrapping stuff is packed!

We are staying with my parents till we find jobs, and while I was on the floor addressing she saw my cards and asked if they were any cheaper to make then to buy!

I'm not really sure if they are or not!

FlyGirlStamper 12-13-2004 05:30 PM

I'm in the process of making aobut 55...with ribbon and embossing and layers....but they're pretty! :) I'm a relatively new demo and it just occured to me that it would be a rather smart, let alone "nice" thing for me to do to send to my customers, soooo, guess I'll be making some more!

teressa 12-13-2004 05:31 PM

i sent out over 80. i could have done another 25 for people, but i quit when i ran out of supplies, lol. if i have to send out another card it will be a leftover store bought card from years past, lol!!!

Aprilinparis 12-13-2004 05:34 PM

I made 40. I'm saving one for a sample. Six of the ones I mailed were for my hostesses. This sounds like a math problem!

mooshie_stamps 12-13-2004 05:49 PM

holy cow! I only made 20, and will send 19. (hehe I gotta keep one) why do you guys send over 100?? do you really have that many close friends and family, or do you also send them to co-workers, and customers? just curious.
Michelle

photocropper 12-13-2004 06:10 PM

Apparently I send them to everyone I know. Lots of people at church, family, friends who have moved out of town or who I knew before I moved, my husband is president of his car club, etc. Good thing I make the cards. It would be so expensive to have to buy them!

Cheezer 12-13-2004 06:49 PM

I am almost ready to mail out the 60 cards I made. Just a couple more finishing touches. (I've been saying that since Thanksgiving!)

dostamping 12-13-2004 06:53 PM

Well - I haven't been keeping an exact count, but I know it's around the 300 mark. Probably 8-10 different designs. I get bored after doing 25-30. Hmmm - is that too many? About 120 is family and friends. The rest are customers for both of my businesses.

Doris 12-13-2004 07:16 PM

85 cards...they are already mailed. Tonight I finished up the Thank you cards that I send out after christmas.....I made 12, not sure if I will be needing more, but I started with that.

shannonfielder 12-13-2004 07:40 PM

I sent to family and friends 45

Edee 12-13-2004 08:08 PM
