How many different white kinds of cs do you own.
 

I know it wasn't that long ago it seems that someone else asked this question.However at the time I didn't need to know the answer to this question.But now I do.so here it is.

Last year SU carried and ultra smooth white paper.this year I don't see it in the catalog.is the whispering white the same thing.

Also how many different kinds of white paper do you have and which ones do you tend to use the most often.

I never bought white paper from su before now.I have always bought just white cs from a craft store.

So I need help in deciding which white paper I should buy from su and why.

I do have some glossy white that's about all.

Are there certain white papers that are used for different things that I need to know before buying any.I want to experiment with all the different kinds, is it just a matter of preferance or no.

On almost every card (probably every one of them) I have ever made, I have used either Whisper White or Very Vanilla, couldn't live without them. I also have the Confetti White and Cream but haven't really found much use for them, yet. I have never bought CS from anywhere else than SU so I don't have anything to compare it to, to tell you whether it is better or not but I do like it a lot, use it everyday.

Well I wish my girlfriend was on here to tell you what happend to her this weekend. I tell you though.
We were making a card together. ( 4 each of one style) SO since I had the idea for the card I cut her one adn she cute the rest in her own paper. I was using SU paper she was not. When she stamped on her white paper adn held it up to the SU paper you could tell a difference. I was using whisper white. Hers soked up the ink where the SU did not. And you could see a color difference also. Needless to say I had to re cute her the SU white.
I use any of the nutrals. I do not have a FAV.

I was like you...I had never purchased the Stampin' Up! Whisper White (or Ultrasmooth, when it was called that) because I could get bulk white cardstock so much cheaper in craft stores. This past weekend my demonstrator had her stamp camp and I am now a convert to SU! Whisper White...it accepts the ink SO WELL! I ordered it on Friday and I am excited to play with it. I won't use the craft store brand white for stamping anymore...it looks terrible compared to the SU! brand. :) HTH!

Ditto! I always used to use the brand from Hobby Lobby, but received a card in a swap about a year ago that was awesome and looked "different"... Found out it was the WW cardstock, ordered some, and never turned back! I love it! I was just wondering the other day what I was going to do with my leftover hobby lobby cs! Any suggestions?

Nothin' but Whisper White (formerly Ultra Smooth) for me! I used to purchase reams of white cardstock from Office Supply stores but the first time I purchased Whisper White I was completely converted. There IS a difference and I have not found anything that compares. I love Very Vanilla as well ... I use all the neutrals from SU! but my fave is Whisper White.

Get yourself some SU Whisper White! You'll notice the difference right away. I was once a non-believer too. There nothing that anyone can tell you that'll make you change your mind, like trying it for yourself can. It's really not that big of an investment when you think of how much we spend on stamps!

I use my "lesser" quality white cardstock for layering or for base cards - Not for stamping. Once in awhile for inserts. Just my 2 cents

me too! I use it for the layers and inserts and save the images for SU Whisper White....
Now for watercoloring I use the Nat White or the Nat Ivory....I don't really care for the WW and watercoloring because it is not as fiberous......if that is a word?? LOL

WW all the way. Hands down my preferred--vanilla version, too! I've yet to find a white c/s that can compare in smoothness . . . takes ink like a dream!

I do have a ream of cheap office supply c/s, but I only use it for making patterns/experimentation/waste.

I've never tried WW. I usually purchase reams at Arveys (Pacific Coast store) Exact Vellum. I sometimes get a white that is a harder surface than the exact vellum. It does stamp crisper and has a whiter finish. I also get the felt white which has a surface like watercolor paper. Then I like the confetti white and cream confetti. THEN I really like the Exact Matte Coated which is like glossy but matte. I have several different weights of my white. Some are 65 lb. some are 80 and I have one that is 140lb too.

Me too. I LOVE SU's WW and VV!!! I have several packs of paper from wally world that I don't use except for templates and such.

I use SU Whisper White (aka Ultrasmooth) for stamping. I also use Bazzill white cs for my scrapbooking pages. I only use SU white for stamping though.

Yup, WW all the way! I don't waist my money on anything else.
