How many cards to you make a week?

I'm just curious how many cards you all create a week? I'm really inspired here! I love the challenges!

tdean32 03-19-2005 06:46 PM

It all depends on the type of week I am having. On a good week, I make several. On a bad week, none at all and boy do I hate that! :(

Jace 03-19-2005 07:01 PM

I usually do at least 3 and up to 15 a week, if I'm in a swap - I wish I could stamp 24/7, though! I'm interested in hearing what others do...

I average 7-10 per week. Wish I could do more but I have to have my SCS time too!

stampercamper 03-19-2005 07:13 PM

Now if you mean 'original' cards...hmmm...depends on the week 3-5. Swaps though...depends on how many I need!

kathyj30 03-19-2005 07:21 PM

probably an average of 10....unless I'm preparing for a workshop and then it's more......I'd probably make more if I left this site but I wouldn't be nearly so inspired....lol

Samantha 03-19-2005 07:26 PM

Maybe 3-5 in a good week.

AndreaSophie 03-19-2005 07:35 PM

I usually do about 5 a week. Some for challenges and some to have on hand for birthdays and such.

It totally depends on when my husband goes fishing!!! If it is raining...I get to craft less! If it is not raining.....I get the day!!! :o) My problem is the older I get the less I can sit still....so I start a card or two, then go to a journal or a paint bucket!

cards per week

I usually average about 3 cards a week that actually get mailed out and another 3 or so that get put in the stash for future use.
This week I popped out 125 cards (yes that is correct!) for my MIL to use for condolence thank you's after my FIL passes away from lung cancer (he's in the end stage right now and it is a very tough time for the family. This was my way of helping out here while my husband was there doing round the clock nursing...my MIL was very touched when my husband showed her the sample cards for her approval. Sometimes we forget how much people really appreciate a handmade card to send to their friends.)

Cards? Cards?

Now that I spend all of my time on SCS, when am i supposed to make cards? Now I just look at cards...in the gallery that is!

Actually, I don't make cards every week. i go in spurts. I stamp to make samples for my workshops. I scrapbook. I swap (once or more per month). So i guess that I really don't have a weekly amount :(

camsmom 03-19-2005 07:53 PM

not enough!

I COMPLETELY agree! Sometimes workshops are the best things that happen to me because I actual use my stamps! And I always think with all the great samples on here that I will have to copy them so I can stamp, but why copy them when I can just look at them on the computer whenever I want? It's not like I often get ambitious and actually MAIL my cards out! (Unless I'm in a swap!!!) Usually I just make them, show them to my DH who ooohs and aaahs, then put them in my sample box. :D

You KNOW I'm not the only one!

It varies a lot. Since I'm a kitchen table scrapbooker, some weeks, I don't scrap at all and other weeks, I take my supplies out and make it worth my while. I've done 40 cards so far this year, so I guess it amounts to something like 3 or 4 cards a week. That's a very approximate average, though.

15-30?

I make too many ;)

So far today? 2? Yesterday? 3

stamping_KML 03-21-2005 09:39 AM

It depends usually 5 - 10. I'd make a lot more if I'd sit at my stamp table instead of at the computer on this web site! :)

Kathy S. 03-21-2005 09:45 AM

Sometimes a week will go by where I don't make any. :( A couple of weeks ago I made about 25! (An All Natural set sampler for a friend, 8 cards for a swap and a few to submit to Take Ten volume 5) Yesterday I got a new stamp and sat down and made 10 cards with it! Usually I'll make 1-2 cards at a sitting, once or twice a week.

judyb 03-21-2005 09:54 AM

As an SU demo, I try to make 1 a day. That way I have a variety for people to look over at my workshops. My dilemma, is what to do with all of those cards, it costs $$$$, and they all just sit there with the exception of the ones that I mail!! What to do???

mamakimberly 03-21-2005 10:02 AM

judyb...

I go through the church prayer chain every week and send cards to people with birthdays and people who need prayers :) I send at least 10 a week that way!

Kimberly :)

bacline2 03-21-2005 10:26 AM

I usually make 3-4 a wk. Sometimes more, sometimes less. :)

Phew! I thought the responses to this thread would be frightening, but so far Mamakimberley is the only one who has scared me with her high output! I'm in the "sometimes none, occasionally some" category! So far this week - none, but then it IS only Monday I suppose  . Last week... er... none. But I DID do two scrapbook pages at the weekend, which is a HUGE achievement for me as I find scrapbooking quite a challenge! :D

cards

I try and make at least 12 a week. This week I have 50 to make. My DH came home with an order from someone he works with and she wants 50 cards,,,birthday, cat, and chili peppers! The first two I can do without a problem, but the second, I had to go out this morning and buy a stamp for. Now what? I don't know what to do with the cute chili pepper stamp. Any help would be great!!!

Thanks to all my "sisters" at SCS.

Boy, compared to some of you, I'm a slouch. My cards tend to be grouped toward the end of the month when I make my BRAK's and RAK's for the next month but once in a while there is an incidental RAK thrown in. I would say it would average 3 a day and 12-15 per month

maamkeha 03-21-2005 11:34 AM

It depends on the year for me. Last year I made approx. 1070 cards for a craft show I was in. So that averaged to about 20 per week, except I only had 6 months to make them.

Lily_Louise 03-21-2005 11:49 AM

No set number!

It goes in fits and starts with me!! Sometimes I make loads, like last week I made about 50 but this week, I'll probably only get one or two done. Depends on swap dates and how many I'm in and also on whose b/day or anniversary it is next month! March b/days are done but April is a busy one as is May.

I'd do more but I spend way too much time checking this site out!!

I did say, I was going to use every single stamp set I have now they are all catalogued and numbered so I'd better get going!

Happy stamping everyone. :D
