Default Print Pattern Diamond Discovery!!

I love the cards people do with the Print Pattern Diamond Background in 2 colors. Not sure how they do it, but I discovered my own method and it works so great. I stamped the background on scrap paper. Then I cut out one of the diamonds from the center that was not inked. Then I laid that on a piece of scrap rubber from trimming leftovers and cut around it. I was very careful to be exact. Since I use only unmounted, I put cling on the back of the single diamond. Now I can stamp the big background and then ink the little diamond to color in the white diamonds. I can do the whole thing in under a minute and the results are great!! I will upload some cards to my gallery after the Sunday no-load so you can see. I have not figured out yet how to make a picture show up in one of these posts. Just had to share!

Kewel, Annabelle!!... that's very clever! I bet you could use that little diamond LOADS of different ways. A lot of times, I save the rubbah scraps, but haven't done much with it. This sounds interesting!

Let me share with you how I do my Print Pattern. I first saw this done on an awesome BRAK that was sent to me by CKarasz (Cindy). You ink up the P/P.... then, with a darker color marker (held at about a 45degree angle), just run the marker down the sides of the diamonds. I usually 'HUFF' the stamp before stamping it on my c/s... that re-moistens the ink. Also.... it's a really neat look to just run the marker down one side of the diamond.... VERY neat '3D' look. I love the look of this SO much, I hardly ever use P/P without doing it this way. Really adds dimension to the finished piece.

Happy Stamping....

Joan, that is a great idea. Gives a raised kind of look? Gotta try that later today when my friends come to stamp! Thanks so much.
