Default Emboss Resist Question???

Every time I try this technique, when I go to "chalk" over the image, it does not resist the chalk....the chalk covers the actual image too. This is irritating to me! What am I doing wrong.

Did you emboss the Versamark with clear EP? If not, you're actually doing the Poppin' pastels technique.

You need to stamp your image/s in Versamark, emboss it with clear EP, then take the chalks or inks and sponge them around on the CS. After you're done, take a paper towel and wipe the embossed parts off to make them white (or whatever your CS color is) again.

Personally I like to use inks rather than chalks, I think it gives it a much richer look. HTH

Default Embossing

Yeah, I do emboss and then heat and that is when it is sticking to the immage. I'll try ink instead of chalk and see how that works.

Thanks
