Helpful hint: Order your cardstock now!

I always think it's a good idea to stock up now on the cardstock you will be using for holiday cards (orange/black for Halloween, red/green for Christmas), etc. I've noticed that the reds and greens usually go on backorder sometime in December, and folks are scrambling around for cardstock for their holiday cards.

I agree.
Last year I think that Night of Navy was one of the ones unavailable in December. I had to switch my card to something else.

I definitely don't want to have to change the card I am doing, so I will get my paper order ready. Now all I have to do is figure out what stamp set to use!!!!

I know I got stuck last year when the navy went backordered. I only had like 4 stamp sets so I was lucky enough to borrow cs from my sister (demo) so I could finish. This year I have way TOO many sets and still can't decide what I want to do for cards. I am up for a hodge podge I think. I don't like to mass produce a card.

Since my stamp camp this month is Christmas cards, I've already received my CS order. I'm hoping to get my personal Christmas cards sent this year.......some how they haven't made it into the envelopes the past few years. :oops:

Yep...I had to use Brilliant Blue for my snowman cards for my workshop last November instead of Night of Navy. I seem to recall More Mustard was another color that was on backorder forever too last fall.

Funny but i've already started on idea's and have ordered all of the holiday CS i'll need!

Thanks for this great tip! I am about to place an order for myself and I am very low on CS! My problem is I haven't decided which set to use for my Christmas cards yet. Guess I could just order some basic holiday colors and go from there.

That is funny but if you do your Christmas cards in May then you dont have to worry about that huh!!! I was so anxious to get mine done that I have already done everything except the inside stamp!

I have already gotten paper for halloween as well! Just have to get the set in now!
Trying to be on the ball with cards cuz my time just seems to get filled up so quickly when the holidays approach.

And don't be like me and continue to order pack after pack of night of navy because you forgot you'd ordered it and then when it went off backorder you have 6 packs of it! :oops: Can you say lots of navy make-n-takes this year??!! Good advice to order now...
