It's best to check with your states Secretary of State's Office. They should have a wesite with downloadable forms. It really depends on what you want a copyright for.

I owned my own business and copyrighted my logo. I had to send in proof that I had been using it in a business available to the public such as a business card or advertisement and also a written description of what the logo looked like. As long as there was nothing similar out there in my particular state, I was granted the copyright and was able to add the symbol to the end of my logo. Countrywide is a whole nother issue and process.

If you are wanting to copyright your stamped images, most likely you will not be able to because the products you are using already have a copyright on them. Such as SU or CTMH or any other stamping company for that matter (Penny Black, Judikins, Hero Arts, etc...).

Do you mean a copyright on your picture for the gallery?
You can use software like Photo Shop to add text to your picture.
I've noticed that some people put a slip of paper that has their name and the Stampin' Up! copyright on it under the card when they scan it in.

DUH!!! I take things way too literally - I didn't even think about the copyright at the bottom of your gallery posts! Sorry for my previous post!

Insert a text box onto your picture then you type "ALT" holing it down you punch the numbers 0169. that should give you a © symbol. I use picture it 9. it was just on my computer when I got it.

Are you holding the Alt key down while typing the numbers?

OK, I give, why do you need a copyright for your posting? And do you have to do it even if you're not a demo?
Thanks!

when posting your artwork you need the copyright, as all images from SU have a copyright. A while back some sites that were't compliant to the rule of having the copyright, either had to become compliant, or were going to be hearing from SU's lawyers.

Wow ~ you all do it the really hard way. (c) and (tm) work too. Maybe not in a post, but it sure works in word, excel, and most software that autoconverts.

I am asking this question because I don't have a clue. I thought that unless you asked for a copywrite on an item and applied to the state, it doesn't matter if you put copywrite at the bottom of your pictures or not, it won't protect them?
