Default How can I mount cling foam to wood?

I bought some unmounted stamps and they came with the cling type foam. I like wood mounted stamps, so I'm wondering if I can use this cling foam and maybe add rubber cement or something to it to make it adhere permanently to my wood blocks? Has anyone done this? I know others are unmounting stamps lately, but I don't use what I don't see, so I need to get these mounted. Thanks!

I would suggest some type of super glue - you don't want something that will not dry 'flat', as if it has a texture and the cling mount is not flush to the wood, it won't stamp right.

You can also buy mounting cushion for use w/ wood at various places. I think www.stampin.com sells it.

good luck!

Aleene's Tack Glue works very well also! I use the new clear quick dry.

Rubber cement will work beautifully. Apply a coat to the block and the foam. When both are dry stick them together. You'll have a strong bond, but it's not forgiving, so you'll need to be careful to get your placement right the first time!
