That's a very good question. I know that there are some blogs like Beate's, that when I post a comment she always posts one on my blog, too. I try to go visit the few comments that I get but I don't always comment. I don't think there is a pc thing to do. I comment on blogs because I want to and not because I want them to visit my blog.
There are days when I get tons of comments (like my latest post got almost 50 comments), other days when I get just a few.
I have some very loyal readers who come by and comment on every post I put up (bless their hearts) but then I have some that stop in every now and then.
It's hard, sometimes, especially running a full time business and a household with a hubby and 2 kids, to be able to answer every comment I get, but I do try to make my rounds to other blogs throughout the week and let them know I stopped by if I can.
I understand when the girls that have very popular blogs can't respond to a comment I've made because they may have 25-50 comments a day. I hope that people understand that I'm a mom, wife and business owner and I try my hardest to keep up with everything that's going on and sometimes that means that I'm not able to answer every comment. Some days, that would become a full time job in itself!
I do let my readers know through my posts and my give-aways that I really appreciate all the comments they make, the personal emails, the PMs here at SCS, etc.
I think that most stampers understand because their lives are also just as busy.

I usually post on anyone's blog who posts on mine. As for blog's I've posted comments on, sometimes I get an email, sometimes I get a comment back. Neither is really expected, but I do appreciate it.
I don't post on someone's blog to get something back from them, either, and those who have neither emailed me nor posted comments back, I still go to their blogs and make comments when inspired to do so.
I don't have a blog, so when I leave a comment it wouldn't be possible for them to respond in kind, or to link my blog to theirs. I read a number of blogs daily (with my coffee in the morning, instead of the paper!) and there is one person who nearly always sends me an e-mail when I leave a comment on her site and I really appreciate that. It makes me feel like less of a stalker and more of a friend
There is a small handful of people who comment regularly on mine but other than that I think mine is lost in the shuffle. I can't even get the SCS blog people to respond to my requests to include it! I should be better about responding to the regulars at least and let them know they make my day!
I'm not sure...I've only had one comment and it shocked me so I didn't know what to do!
Go look - your comments may just have doubled
BTW, when I left it, nothing came up asking for my e-mail address. On most other blogs, you are asked for your name, e-mail address and website but I'm not a blogger so I don't know if this is something you need to format yourself or what.

Hi Tammy-
I saw your BLOG the other--I like your lovely creations---I added your BLOG link to mine ("Blog Buddies"?)...

 Thanks! I think because I chose "allow people to post anonymously" then you don't have to put anything in if you don't want to.

I love blogs! I love reading them and posting on mine. Although... I was stamping like mad for all the Dirty Girl Challenges over the weekend, I haven't posted anything new to my blog in a few days.
I don't get a ton of traffic to my blog, so when someone comments, I notice. Most of the people that show up regularly to my blog are in my Google Reader. I see when they have anything new and I can post back.
It's so gratifying when I have a comment from someone. I love it when someone has a genuine opinion. I like to pass on the fun with comments too!
When someone replies on my blog for the first time I always check to see if they have a blog as well and check it out. I'm disappointed if theirs is set up so you can't get directed to their blog if they have one. If I can get to someone's blog, I almost always try and comment back. Yes, I guess I think it's good manners. Plus I appreciate those that do take the time to comment on something they've seen and appreciated.
I have to say it bothers me some when I frequently comment on someone's blog and they never take the time to comment at least once on my blog to show they've at least checked it out. I understand we all have different styles and my blog may not be one you'd revisit, but I think it's nice to just visit once and let the blogger know you've stopped by .
If someone comments on my blog sometimes I comment back and refer to their comment, sometimes I email them, and I always check out the blogs of ppl that post a comment but I don't necessarily comment on theirs tho.

If the person commenting has a blog, I usually will check it out. But I don't leave a comment just because they left one on mine....I only leave comments that are sincere, on things that inspire me. However, most times when I check out someone else's blog, it's easy to find things that do inspire me and I *want* to comment about.

Visit my blog, A Little Bit of Everything
If I get a comment (doesn't happen very often) I like to go see their blog and I always find something I love on it!
I can't find a place to leave a comment on your blog...am I missing it?
I always visit a person's blog and leave them a comment if they have left one for me! I know how nice it feels to get one, so I want to return the niceness! Keri
