Default Hey Salt Lake City residents!!!

My BF and I are traveling in a few weeks to go to the IKEA near SLC. I'd also like to visit some great scrapbook/craft stores. Besides the standard Michaels and Joanns, what do you suggest as a must see?

Thanks!

Very close to Ikea is a Hobby Lobby. If you haven't been to one of those, you should check it out. There is also a chain in SLC called Roberts, which is like a Michael's but WAY better for papercrafters. They have a huge selection. And if you ask them at the check out, they will give you 40% of your largest item.

My favorite LSS is actually in the same parking lot as Roberts and is called "Paper Creations." If you google it, they have a (very out of date) website where you can get their hours, etc.

Have fun!

Just some information for ya . . . Memory Preserve closed last year. Pebbles I very seldom bother with anymore because they carry almost nothing except the Pebbles line. Also, All My Memories in Draper is closing -- they started their going out of business sale on March 1st.

It's getting kind of sad here in the valley . . . we've lost so many great stores and I'm sure we're not done yet.

That stinks. Up in Logan I worked in one of the first shops. In about 5 years time there were 4 stores. + Michaels and a couple of small shops. Now I think there is One left. what is happening to our sources!?!

Apparently when they moved from Lehi to Riverton they changed the way they do things. They've always done a lot of online business. Now their website says to call for an appointment for in-store shopping.

NOOOOO! Say it ain't so!!! I thought All My Memories was one of the better stores in the area.

Oh well... at least I know not to waste my time going out there my next trip to the SLC area.

I agree with the previous suggestions of going to Paper Creations and Roberts.

Is the Memories Outlet in Bountiful, off the Woods Cross exit, still open?

Memories Outlet
515 West 2600 South
Bountiful, UT 84010

And Heartland Paper was down the street from them, right off the interstate, at the other end of the shopping center from Kmart. Another good store.
