Here's one more - Why did I save all the baby food jars???

Hi all!
I'm hoping someone can help me out.... I asked my BIL to save me some baby food jars, and  I thought I had an awesome project to use them for.

Of course I didn't write it down  and I can't find anything on this site that uses them .

Does anyone have any ideas as to what I can use them for now...???? I have 15 of them!!

You can use them to store embellshments or other small items. Scew through the lids into a shelf above your craft area. Screw on filled bottles and all your goodies are at your fingertips.

Decorate them, put a little bit of sand in the bottom and use as votive candleholders.

Decorate them and use to store cotton swabs, cotton balls, hair clips, elastic hair bands, etc. Don't forget to decorate the lid.

Edited to add: Glue small figures into the lid, right side up. Use a water proof glue like epoxy. Fill jar with water and sprinkle in a bit of glitter/fake snow. Glue lid onto jar for a snow globe.

Yes! And if you have too many to use yourself give them to your local preschool! I received the above items from my kids when they were in preschool. They are an adorable gift! Our preschool never turned down these little bottles when offered.

I use them for storing embossing powder with unsweeted jello for the scratch and sniff technique. Not sure how long it will stay smelly though.

My SIL uses them for storing small stuff in the garage (nails, screws, etc.)

I use them to make lanterns. Decorate jars with Staz-On, Sharpies, Paint Glitter, etc. Wrap wire around opening and create a handle. Tie a bow around opening to cover wire. Put a tealight inside. Sharpies are great because it give a stained glass look the reflects on walls.

I saved mine for 15 years, then tried selling the whole lot of them for a buck at a garage sale, had no takers, we were moving so they went in the recyle bin. Hope you have better luck than me.

I make some really good (and very easy) body lotion and put it in the jars for gifts.Denise

you can put embellishments in them as an above poster said.

You can cut small squares of tissue paper and decoupage them to the jar. Then put a tea light candle inside. You can also embellish with some type of cord, ribbon, etc. around the neck. This is good for children too. We have used it for Mother's Day gifts in my classroom.

You could also use them for packaging snowman soup and tie the candy cane on with ribbon.

When I was in college I had to do a bug collection for a Zoology class. Our Prof. wanted the insects (yuck, totally creeped me out) all stored in alcohol in babyfood jars. I had no baby at the time, and didn't know anyone who had one, so I went to e-bay. I bought 50 jars from some guy. Cost me like 10 bucks, but I needed them!

It's all supply and demand.
