As posted on 2peas-my grandson was hit by a truck...
A couple of weeks ago my 15 year old grandson was hit by a truck. He was pushed 90 feet into an intersection. It knocked him out of his shoes. He was skinned from head to toe and his heart stopped in the ambulance. The miracle was, when all was said and done , he had a broken femur that required pins and the abraisions were not deep. So although he was and is in a lot of pain , he won't be scarred and his leg will heal.We are so thankful. That was such a close call.Well , 3 or 4 people from 2peas has sent him cards and he got so excited! He said "Gosh DoeDoe, I don't even KNOW anyone in those states! Do you think they saw it on the news?!" (It was on the news). Anyway, he is doing better every day, but I thought it would be nice, if anyone has the time to send him a card. He really loved the ones he has received so far. The ladies on 2peas were so nice with their good wishes and prayers. I thought Timothy would love it if somehow he could get one from each state. He has started putting them on his bulletin board. Anyway, just if anyone has time, he would really love them. Thanks to you all in advance.
Well it's me again. If anyone knows how to edit if they could tell me it would be greatly appreciated.............I meant to say in my original post that Timothy loves skateboarding and playing the quitar , in case anyone can send a card. Thanks again.

Friends are like the walls of a house. Sometimes they hold you up, sometimes you lean on them. But sometimes, it's enough to know they're just standing by.

i can sympathize! i was nearly killed in a car accident about 16 years ago.
when first x-rayed i had 3 fractures to my spine and thru prayers and receiving a miracle of healing- when i was x-rayed 24 hrs later there were no fractures to my spine. i still had other injuries and broken bones and required hours of plastic surgery.. i am alive and well and even had a 2nd child.
GOD has a plan for this boy! thank you for the opportunity to hear his story and to pray for him!
Thank you so much. That was so sweet what you said about God having a plan for him. He is a very special boy. Smart and always has been so kind and very , very good and gentle and patient with younger kids. He plays the quitar so well that he once made 170 dollars playing and has never had a lesson.Thank you all for responding.
Hey, hope everybody isn't sick of hearing from me but I just thought of something in case any of you want to use it on your cards. One day when Timothy was having a lot of pain he told his Dad that he felt so weak and helpless because everyone was having to do everything for him.His Dad thought for a minute and he said "Well, Timbo, you have a Titanium rod in your leg now , and Titanium is stronger than steel, so that makes you stronger than Superman! So never feel like you are weak because you arn't." So we teased him and said maybe we should change your nickname from Timbo to Titanium Timmy! Just thought I'd share. Have a good day, everyone.
What a story! I can't imagine having one of my kids go through something so traumatic. I'm thrilled he is okay and will make a card to send to him on Tuesday (from PA). Wouldn't it be cool if he got at least one from every state, plus Canada (Wenchie, you are a sweetheart!).
Sending lots of healing light and energy (God will do the rest).
Another card from Missouri will be on it's way next week ~ Glad to hear that your grandson is going to be okay and that he has such a wonderful Grandma!

I went to the grocery store and came back and there were so many new messages posted! I'm so excited for him. He is gonna love this. When he has received all his cards I'm gonna post a picture of him and his cards. If I can figure out how , I'm gonna post one now so you all can see who you're sending to. I thought about putting a picture up with his injuries but it is unsettling , so I'll just do the before. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart.
WOW... Its by God's grace he is still alive. I would be more than happy to send him a card from Washington State. Even if he already got one from WA. My prayers go out to him for fast healing!
I just addressed one to him from Indianapolis, IN. I hadn't read all the post, but I also told him that God had a plan for him, and was keeping his hand on him. God Bless all of you. Glinda
I have a 15 year old son and can't even begin to imagine what your family has been through. Am so happy to read that he will make a full recovery. Will send another card from Washington State on Tuesday. God Bless.
Thank you all for the cards and prayers. Timothy is doing better everyday. I am so , so thankful to have him here and he is loving the cards. He wants to send thank you cards to everyone , if there are addresses on them. He says to tell everyone that he can now pop a wheelie in his wheelchair. I was just gonna let him think he was famous from it being on the news , but he caught me. I could have sworn I xed everything off the computer but he found the site and saw where we were talking about sending him cards. He thinks thats even cooler though, that women that don't even know us would take the time to reply and send him cards. When he gets well he wants me to post a pic of him on his skateboard. So once again, thank you all so much, from me AND Timothy.
