Ultra Clean is one of the best products but you will be paying that $5/bottle range again. I've heard many people use Simple Green and have good results. I haven't tried it though.

I'm bad! I just use 70% isopropyl alcohol (rubbing alcohol) to remove Staz-on. It's cheap and handy. I only use Staz-on with rubber stamps and not with acrylic. I then wipe the stamp with either a baby wipe or rub it on my stamp scrubber to remove the residual alcohol.

I did finally buy some Ultraclean and it's great...but the alcohol is wonderful till you find some!!!
Just remember to condition it with a few drops of glycerine (also found in baby wipes) after using it to keep the alcohol from drying out your rubber. It's not something you want to do on a regular basis, but it won't hurt to remove some stubborn stains.
I use Dawn Power Dissolver to clean staz on. I follow up by cleaning them with the SU mist to remove the chemical residue and condition my stamps.
