Default Help with Very Vanilla inkpad.

I just got the Very Vanilla inkpad today. I figured it would look really cool against medium-darker c/s. But I can't get it to show up well. Am I missing something? I tried it on cocoa and pink passion and even white. I can actually see it better on the white, which I figured would be the worst place I'd see it. The ink pad is wet-it's a craft one-so I don't think that's the problem. I'm really bummed b/c I thought this would be a great neutral color. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks.
Becca

try speeding up the drying time with a heat tool... sometimes colors POP and change dramatically after they dry...

Does it first stamp with good contrast and then fades as it dries? If so, the ink is sinking into the CS and drying it with a heat gun, or putting clear ep on it, will help keep the contrast higher.

Thank you ladies! I tried the heat gun and it worked great. I have another question, if anyone else happens to read this. I noticed it shows up really well on dark paper after I heat it. Is there a way to make it show up better on light paper. I tried putting clear EP (with and w/o heat) on it but it still didn't show up well on a soft subtle paper. Maybe it's really only meant to be used on a dark color? I noticed that the vanilla sort of mutes the dark c/s that you're stamping on. Do you ladies just use it mostly to lighten the stamped image while still keeping the color of the c/s or are there are other ways to use it that I need to learn about! I hope that last sentence made sense!

Thanks again! You ladies are awesome and have great ideas! That's why I love it here!

I'm bumping my thread up to see if anyone can answer my newest question.

Here's a link that might provide another way to use it if I'm understanding your question correctly. Scroll down to the bottom and look at the card with the purple tree. Something like that might work well with Very Vanilla.
