Default Stamp(s) used on card on page 125 of 05-06 IBC

The top card on page 125 of the catalog lists "All I Have Seen" and "Fine Lace" in the recipe. But what was used on the red cardstock? It's not the leaf from "All I Have Seen" since that is a "negative image" stamp.

I don't know how they did it... someone else would... but it doesn't list any other stamp sets in the back of the catty. it must be All I Have Seen.

Funny you should bring this up -- I was just pondering over this the other night. My guess is that they oulined each leaf and the stem with the RR marker then stamped. Notice that each image is not identical.

WebDeb, that's what I thought too until someone pointed out that the leaf stamp in the set prints the background and leaves the leaf uncolored. I.E., the background is what stamps--the leaf part is cut away.

Interesting! Just checked it out...don't know how it could be the same leaf stamp. Thought it looked similiar to the leaf in Sketch an Event but that's not it either!!

I just took my marker and colored in the lines, making sure a little got on the edges and it looks just like what they did in the catalog. I think I like that a lot and now have a brilliant idea. (I will share it when I get back from buying my school books)

To me it looks like the same leaf stamp. I agree with whoever above said that they may have used the marker, to outline around the edges of the pattern (on either side of the "negative leaves" image). For example if you have a negative image of a heart, and you color around the inside and outside, you would get concentric hearts. These leaves look like that. The recipie lists a Ruby Red marker, so that was used for this part somehow.

It is the same stamp but instead of just inking the stamp up on a stamp pad, they outlined just a bit of the rubber around the image. Would take a little more time. If you don't need to have the bg match the solid image, you could use the leaf stamp from Sketch An Event (if you have that set).
