Help stamping on canvas totes!!

Okay I see these nice canvas totes on SCS so I bought some thinking I could stamp with craft ink. I did one for my sone last not WILD about Reading book tote, I was not happy with the way it came out. The question is Should I be using craft ink or something else like aryclic paints. I really want to make these totes for my club members but at @ 2.49 a pop I don't want to waste my time !! Thank you for your help

I've only stamped on a few canvas things but I used SU's dye ink. They came out nicely but I did not wash them so I have no idea how durable or lasting the image would be.

I have stamped using the acrylic paints mixed w/fabric medium to make them washable. I have been really happy w/the results. I usually use larger, less detailed stamps.

There are also fabric 'inks' out there. I got mine at JoAnn's. They are perfect for using on canvas totes, T-shirts, onesies, etc. They are called Fabrico and they come in ink pads and pens. HTH

I believe I read somewhere to use fabric ink or fabric paints. Just be sure to clean your stamps ASAP when you're done.

You can buy iron on transparencies at an office store. You could stamp on the transparency, then iron it onto a tote. The words might be backwards, though. Or you can PM someone who made a tote, and get more detailed instructions.

I did mine and a ton others, but it has been a few yrs and they are still holding up. We stamped with craft ink then If I remember correctly we ironed with wax paper over it to heat set it
