Default fixing dry SU markers?

Does anyone know if you can use reinkers for dry SU markers? Not that I have very many; just a light color or 2.

Thanks for sharing,
Joy

Joy, I've been told that you can. I don't have them yet... waiting for 3 friends to join a marker club. But I asked that question at our last club meeting and was told the tips come off and the marker can be reinked with the same reinkers you use for your ink pads.

Just be prepared to get messy!!! You can pull the fat tip out. Then either hold it over the sink or a plate, etc. Squeeze your reinker over the marker. Depending on how dry it is, will depend on how much of the reinker you need. Replace the tip & put the cap back on. Store it horizontally overnight & it should be good to go. Storing your markers horizontally all the time helps keep the ink from going to one end or the other.

Default Refilling SU markers

I was recently told there is a tool in the that SU tool kit (for eyelets & all) that allows you to take the nib off off your marker and refill with the reinkers that you would use for your stamp pads. I would get advice from someone whose done it first , since I understand that you could ruin your marker if you aren't really careful pulling out the tip.

A glue syringe works well for refilling blender pens and markers.

I have had good luck with applying the reinker one drop at a time to the brush tip without removing the tip. The tip easily absorbed 3 or 4 drops of reinker. I had no drips or messes.

so, when you re-ink them you just put the ink on the brush tip? does the ink ever make it to the fine tip end?

I have't tried this, but am intrigued since I have one marker that could use some more ink. but it's basic black, wouldn't you know. I'm worried that the different ink would be a bad idea to put on the marker since the pad ink is permanent, and the marker is not. ya know waht I mean? any advice on these questions?
thanks
Michelle

Yes, this would work. Look for something like these at your local hardware store:
