Hello Linda, I hope you are doing okay! I can't help you with the personalised stamp question, but thought I'd bump your thread for all the late night stampers.

Hi Linda,
Were you looking in a printed catalog? Or were you looking at the online catalog?
I never can figure out the sizes when looking at SU online. But in the printed catalog, they usually print the stamps the same size as they will be when you get them.
Does anyone else know for sure? Shucks, I didn't even know that Stampin' Up had a name stamp.

Linda -

I have a couple of the one line stamps from SU.

The way they are shown in the catalog is pretty true to size. I bought one for a teacher that just got married and used it to make personalized stationery (sp?).

I have another with my mom's name and stamp on the inside.

If I were stamping word from mimi mates, like 'Hang in There" and then the name - the name would be bigger -
but it's a fine line image. If you used a larger stamp from ALC 1, 2 or 3 I dont' think the name would over power it.

You could also stamp your name in the lower corner -- so as not to take away from the stamped sentiment - KWIM?

Not sure if this is what you are looking for but this site has lots of personalized stamps!!

http://www.paperangel.com/store/home.html

I have ordered from them several times and their stamps are wonderful; only drawback is that they are all handmade so it takes several weeks to get your order. I have been very, very pleased with them HTH

Linda, I think dansah was saying that the large personalised stamp is bigger than the letters used in the Mini Mates text stamps, but the lines making up the letters for the large personalised stamp are finer.

So the large stamp is large but the fine lines make the name not so overpowering. I hope that makes sense.

Also, dansah I think said that if you used the large stamp that is personalised, with a set like All Year Cheer, the name on your large stamp is smaller than the large writing on the All Year Cheer stamps.

I hope you find the advice you are looking for, Linda!

I think that Linda does not have access to a hard copy of the catalogue, just to the online catalogue, and that is the source of the problem because the size of the images on your screen change depending on what resolution you have your monitor set to. Would you be able to measure or estimate the dimensions of the large, one-word personalised stamp you've worked with? Or maybe compare it to the size of some other common stamps?

Linda (Hotwheels)

Sorry if I was confusing, Mahloumel thanks for chiming in -- it's exactly what I meant.

If it will help you Linda, PM me your home address and I can send you stamped images of the personalized stamps I got through SU. I have one of the large text one and a two line one. I think I even have an address one -- I'll dig it out. I can also send you the page from the catalog so you're not looking at it only online.

Diane
