Default I use the rubber insert

The foam one soaks up so much ink....there's no need to wash all that color down the drain.

I personally use the rubber one. I only want ink on the raised surfaces not down in the crevases (sp?)...it makes for too much mess to use the foam attachment. HTH!

Do you know to use them upside down? I use background stamps with the rubber side up and lay the CS face down on the rubber, put a piece of scrap paper over that and rub...either with my hand or the brayer. It makes for a much more even, all over impression!

Default More brayer questions...

Would love to hear more tips on using a brayer. I've had mine for a while (non SU) but used it once and have not been able to get all the ink off. How do you do this?

If you click on forums and scroll all the way down to Resources (under Downloads) there are TONS of things there about all sorts of stuff. Including a document about "50 ways to use your brayer", you might try there.

Happy Hunting!
