Default Help needed with Card

I have made this card and it needs something. What else does it need and what greeting could I put on it. I'm a little blocked right now. Any ideas? Thanks.
Crossword Puzzle Card
Thanks,
Cindy

Two thoughts...
  1. Fill in some of the squares with words like "Happy Birthday" or something like that...
  2. Add a small golfer's pencil to the front for an embellishment.. maybe diagonal over the crossword puzzle.
Very cute card! I like the ribbon embellishment. There's really a good balance of color.

It's a very nice card! I like the pencil idea, but I might add a white or red brad to each corner of the black mat behind the puzzle. That would be about it--Grammy is going to love it.

Kimberly and Nancy both your ideas are great. I will have to try to incorporate them. Thanks! Now to find a pencil and also to pry off the the puzzle to add the brads (LOL).

Wait! Don't pry off the puzzle!! Can you cut the prongs off a brad and then just glue the brad on the puzzle???

Kimberly, funny you should respond with that, I just saw a card that was recently uploaded in the gallery and the artist (I call us stampers "artists" LOL) gave a very detailed description of her card and it included about cutting off the prongs of the brads and gluing them on....so I was just remembering back to my card.... Here's the link to that card. It was really a great card. //www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=363232&limit=last1
