Help! Need an Easter Craft for a Preschool Class
My son's preschool teacher asked me to come do an Easter based craft for his class in a couple of weeks--and I am having a hard time thinking of something that is at their skill level and yet is still cute. It is a Christian school, so religious themes are ok. Please help me come up with something for them to stamp (or not!) that I can do....
Thank you... Kelle |
If you go to the templates forum and search easter+ baskets their are some templates for some cute baskets they could make from cardstock. I am not sure how easy these are to make, I haven't attempted to make them yet.
My thought was you could have them make a basket, put some grass in it and some jelly beans. Our pastor gave out baggies of jelly beans at our children sermon last week at church and inside was a poem that read: Red is for the blood He gave Green is for the grass He made Yellow is for the sun so bright Orange is for the edge of night Black is for the sins we made White is for the grace He gave Purple is for His hour of sorrow Pink is for our new tomorrow A bag(basket) full of jelly beans colorful and sweet, is a prayer, is a promise, is a special treat. Hope this makes sense and is of some help to you. |
I love the poem. Gonna have to use it!! Thanks for sharing!!!

I am SO grateful for your help and this site! Kelle |
I have made a 'tomb' by cutting a paper plate in half and stapling it together - one side of the plate has an u shape cut out of it (for the enterance). I let the kids paint/colour it. Then they scrunched up a paper bag for the rock so they could roll it away and find the tomb empty. Now that I am thinking of it, I found it on the http://www.dltk-kids.com/ they have good preschool crafts. The actual 'Angel rolled the rock away' craft is http://www.dltk-bible.com/mrollstoneangel.htm. Have fun with them!
