Default concave square punch question

What is the actual size of the punch out from this punch? I thought the items in the SU catalog were near actual size, but the sample of this punch looks awfully small. I'd like to get this punch since I think it would be great with some of the smaller stamps, but not if it's too tiny.

I have the convex punch and it is pretty small...it's the same size as shown in the catalog. I wish it was bigger, but I've used it for things like Santa's face from Ho-Ho-Holidays and the words from Mini Mates.

You could always cut out a piece of paper the same size and see if it would work for you.
