Default Watercolor pallette vs Watercolor pencils Help!

Hi
I've always used my SU Watercolor pencils but loaned them to someone before I realized I was going to need them. So I used a blender pen and a pallett of watercolors I got before I became a demo. Since I always try to only use SU stuff, I forgot I had them. Once I used them with the blender pen I was re hooked on the Pallett!
So my question is, which do you prefer and why? How do you use them?

I think pencils are more versatile. You can:
- use them as regular pencil crayons
- colour first and then go over with water
- take the colour directly off of the pencil tip with a wet brush
- depending how hard or soft you press the pencil, you can easily vary the depth of colour

YMMV

Yeah I know what you mean. I was enjoying a larger number of colors by using the palette though, and mine has a bigger variety of green colors. If SU made a 48 color palette would you buy it? I really want all the colors, and I wonder if it would be easier to make them that way? Maybe the new catty will offer more watercolors.
